Barheim Key Sidequest

So I've read all the FAQs out on gamefaqs and they all give the same explanation, that I have to first do the "Dalmasca's Desert Bloom" hunt, and also the "Maurader in the Mines" hunt. Afterwards I bring the desert flower to Dantro's wife.

I've done both of these hunts however there's a problem.


Dantro's wife just says, "There's trouble on the North Bank, I'm sure of it. I wish Dantro were here, but I know he can't leave the outpost unwatched.

Tchigri also says, "Sorry, the ferry's not runnin' right now, my dad took the boat across the north bank, but he hasn't come back. What's takin' so long?"

I'm not sure what the problem is exactly, I remember having a cutscene with Tchigri a LONG time back in the game, but now Dantro's wife isn't asking for the flower in trade for the bundle of needles.

I don't see what I'm doing wrong here. Someone please help!

Oh and the Northern outpost across the lake is deserted. The only person there is a moogle who mentions that the whole outpost is empty.

You need to go to the outpost,it's in the Estersand,on the east end.Your map should show it.I think that you go there so that Dantro can go to the village,hence her saying,"Wish Dantro was here,he can't leave."Try it,I'm pretty sure it's what you need to do.

Yup that was the problem! Thank you very much! All the faqs I read didn't specify where the outpost was. When they said "outpost" I thought it was the one across the lake from the estersand village. But it's the one 1 screen north of Rabanastre entrance.
