So whats your opinion about him?

Me, he is fave my character in the game by a mile. Really cool and badass, plus he had an interesting backstory as well.

I just loved those conversations with Braksa and Jecht, they where funny as hell.

Plus that FMV sequence where he is introduced is really ace as well, I just loved that song in particular.

But one question I have got for you guys, is whats up with his arm?

I mean why does he wear one of his arms in a sling.

I thought it was injured but it isn't. You clear see in cutscenes and in battle he can use both arms. So I don't get the deal with his arm,

Auron's definitely my favorite character in the game. Your reasons for loving his character match my own.

As for his arm, I don't know why he has it in a sling. Perhaps it's painful not having it in a sling despite his ability to use it when necessary. During the FMV sequence when he removes the sling, he seems to do so carefully.

I also agree haha

Auron is well the most epic guy ever, one of my favourite characters ever. I really enjoyed learning about him, and having the inkling that he was unsent when he refused to go to the farplane and thinking noooooo

His 'death' at the end of the game hd FAR m ore of an impact on me than Tidus's, although, I did like him more

As for his arm, maybe Yunalesca injured it....or it's a fashion statement, I have no idea, Ive never thought about it tbh

technically Tidus never existed in the first place, he was just a dream of the fayth, and a dream can't really live...can it?

any ways:
i felt that Auron was a grat chacrter. he was the most serious, but he had his funny moments.

he was a great teacher-character, not like the other teacher-characters. he actually made the story progress with his part in the game. i think that is what made him a really good character

Auron is one of my all time favorite characters. He is a very knowledgeable man who was stolid but was alway there for his friends in their time of need. He was an honorable person and that is what I liked about him.

Yeah, Auron kicks ass throughout the whole game (making him learn Ultima and Doublecast with a 1 MP Cost weapon makes him a war machine).

I think that Auron whas his arm in a sling to sorta represent the fact that he's like a ronin, or mercenary. He drinks (presumeably sake?) from a bottle at his side and carries a katana, all typical ronin actions.

He is my favorite in the game he tough as nails does not take crap and is the strongest in my party.

Perhaps he lets his arm hang in the sleeve of his coat because it is more comfortable. I don't recall any flashbacks explaining an arm injury, especially since he was seen with his arm both in the sleeve and out during the recordings you watch of him and the other two.

Leave it to square to make a character with that much mystery. But the primary I like about Auron, something that I tend to use in my own personality, is that he speaks using few words that are packed with meaning. He doesn't waste time rambling on about things related to his point... he says it, and its clear what he means. Wisdom beyond his relatively young age.

I'm pretty sure its because he is supposed to resemble a ronin/samurai warrior. Some of his limit breaks are classic samurai and I remember somewhere a picture of him next to a classic samurai painting and it was pretty similar as far as the arm in a sleeve and stance goes.

Also I think in one of the flashbacks you see auron with his arm in a sling before yunalesca ever injured him. So i doubt it has anything to do with an injury.

I love every character in FFX, so it's hard for me to pick favorites. But Auron is awesome; and I really like how his tale ultimately becomes personal and somewhat sorrowful. [Spoiler for anyone who hasn't beaten the game/gotten far enough] Though dead, he clings to life to fulfill a promise he made to a friend. Gotta respect that. :D

Yes, I get it, Ronin and Samurai. But those are the reasons that the people who created Auron put his arm in his sleeve. But why would Auron, the character, do this? There has never been any indication that there was a Ronin character or any form of Samurai warriors in Spira.

The whole point of FF games is to immerse yourseld into the story and see things from the characters perspectives... not the art directors.

He wasn't my favorite, but I have to give him credits, I have to say I used him the entire game when i could :P and about his arm...? I really have no clue, it doesn't really hint about it at all

Auron was my favorite person in ffx so he was just awesome and he was the first one in my party to be maxed out

as for his arm none hints to as he has it in a sling becuse he fell on his neck when fighting yunaleska and when you talk to rin at macalania he says something about Auron not being able to walk so you just have to guess as to what happened to his arm

With his arm, I've also compared him to Yoda from Star Wars in that instance.

For example, Yoda uses a walking stick and is pretty slow, but put him in a fight and he's jumping all over the place like a maniac. Same with Auron, he uses a sort've sling, but in a battle, his arm is flying about.

So my theory behind it is, he keeps his arm like that because it was injured, so he's saving the strength he has for the battles he may face, otherwise if he didn't keep it supported for the most part, when it comes to a battle, it may be weaker than it could be.

Could also compare him to "The End" in MGS3. He sleeps and in a wheelchair, saving what he has for battles.

Yeah I love Auron best character by far plus his ultimate weapon makes him that much better. He also has some of the best abilities in the game with tidus I think a close second
