Art Books?

I'm not sure, but it looks very similar to an FF6 book I got once.

It had a few pages dedicated to the main characters with their Amano artwork on them, and loads of japanese writing for their biographies..

Then it had a few random pieces of artwork, and then a few pages with the game graphics showing the world map and some of the town maps of the game...

Then it ended with a few collages of monsters all slapped on the same page.

It was alright but it was a dissapointment to me as I expected it to be a bit more of an artbook than it was. Some of the pictures were very small and crammed onto the page.

This could be something completely different, but it looks very similar.

A god knows what they wer trying to do page... Loads of monsters crammed on one page with a vaguely visible Ultros at the top right, who deserved his own character page in my opinion :awesome:







I'm guessing, because they look so similar and are listed as art books, that they are going to be to similar quality as that. They'll probably be like that, but for FFV and centred more on monsters and stuff. I think perhaps what I posted is closer to the "basic knowledge" type, as it seemed rather general and not really dedicated to anything.

They're certainly collectable items and worth it in that respect.

i swear i had the exact same book when i was a kid what when i was 5 or 7? I mean back then ffv was my favorite game all time so i bought all the book i can find which includes guides

if i recall correctly that book is a guide book not an art book

Gah I edited it up there as I didn't expect another post. Look it up ^^^.


And it was listed as an art book when I bought it. An as far as guides go it would be pretty crap.


It does look to a similar style to what is being asked here.

im surprised u know so much about this book and about its guides' yes the guides totally suck i just didn't wanna say that out loud becoz he might be selling the book and i don't want him not being able to sell it and all that but heck truth is that book's guides are totally junk

oh yeah and actually that book is written in japanese and it had many hard word which i couldn't even understand i mean gimme a break i was only 5 or 7 then -_-

so they are roughly 20 us dollars of course thats worst case scenario the guide as said before sucks but about the picture part, its actually pretty much exactly like Argor251's FFVI book, except its FFV

this book i swear is the funniest, it has has average guide. It is in japanese it has comic section after each boss. I would say this is a good picture book but thats only me, but yeah that book is definitely my favorite picture book :P

oh yeah and Pokeslob i have a question, -__- i have to get this straight, are you after picture book or a guide book the only picture book i know is the one i linked to you, the one with Bartz and Boko, if you are after guide books i know a couple of good ones also. Can you tell me what are you after buddy? :awesome:

I'm not looking for either, I'm looking for art books, with the paintings by yoshitaka amno in them so I can use them for art references and graphic design n stuff
 
so yeah I just got "Basic Knowledge",
the one with Faris on the cover...
it wasn't an art book to my disappointment but more of an encyclopedia of FFV
(like the FFVI one previously posted)
BUT SITLL! its an awesome little book and I think I'm going to buy the other 3
(Battle Analysis, Master Guide, and that other guide with the comics)
