Simple question. Any players from Phoenix on here?

If so, just a /wave to any who remember/knew me. My character was Grayfox as the name suggest. I was the first NA Drg to reach 75 with other various first, sky, armor, ext...

Just hoping to see another familiar face, since I quit a few years back when I got my stuff stole after the first server transfer.
 
Haha, its true...I was. Back then they were hated to death. I got it there in a lil less then a year. After that I quit with drg and took rng, nin, and war to 75 in less then the time it took me for drg lol.
 
They are on Carbuncle, BLM's and DRG's hardly ever get invites, and because of the new Scholar craze, SCH's are taking BLM's solo camps, they're bastards I tell ye, Bastarrds D:
 
Wow, I knew times had changed but wasn't aware that things had changed that much. Back in the day I used to put most of my gil into my Rangers armor. I happened to have quit just weeks before they nerfed it.

But back then RNG and BLM were the two most powerful jobs out there. There would always be parties full of just them and they were power right through things, with endless chains. I knew if they nerfed RNG that they would nerf BLM as well some day.

Guess that right there makes me happy that I quit when I did. Cause I was gonna put money into getting my relic...would have upset me so much to see that nerf while funding it.
 
lol, yeah BLM is pretty much a solo job now. Still used a lot for HNM and NMs, but you rarely see them in PTs.

I never have any problem getting invites on my DRG though(I did 3 years ago) its been boosted a lot and is one of the most powerful jobs in the right merit camps now.

They also gave ranged attacks a boost sometime after that nerf, after Corsair was added. Then they added a berserk-esque job ability that boost ranged attacks and lowers melee for RNG only... So it almost back to where its was originally.

Yeah, with Manaburn nerfed, too, it's hard to get anywhere as a BLM.

I just hate Scholar, though, they get AoE Phalanx at a normal level, and it's better than RDM's MERITTED Phalanx II
