I've been a bit of a writer for quite some time, though I'm not the greatest, but hey, everyone's their own worst critic. Suppose I'll jump right into posting a poem. *Chooses one of the many he's got.*

Already Perfect

Perfection, impossible they say?
Is it an illusion as they say?
Is perfection attainable?
A matter of opinion either way

Perfection is not as it’s made out to be.
Perfection, true perfection is so much more.
You can search an entire lifetime and not find it
You must first have the insight of what true perfection is.

Perfection is not as they say a diamond.
It’s not clear and unflawed.
It’s not large, nor small.
That’s simply a facade of perfection.

No, true perfection is much simpler.
I pondered myself over and over.
Day and night, night and day
Year after year attempting to find that light

Irony has a way of finding us all
The one thing you look for the most
Happens to be right in front of your face
The entire time, taunting you eternally

In order to see the true reality
You must first dream deeply
In order to see perfection
You must see imperfection

I’m not perfect, nor are you perfect
We are far from perfect you and I
We each have our flaws and yet
That’s what makes me love you

Being able to say with a straight face
And be capable of meaning the words
When you say you accept their flaws
And you repeat those two words

The holiest matrimony of love
One of purity and truth
Such a rarity is almost a fairytale
Can one possibly believe me when I say it?

Love that burns in ones heart
Especially the kind making you weak
Such a rarity, but oh so pure
How lucky can I be to be blessed?
