why was Ashe so bothered about Balthier? Do you think the game at the end was hinting a bit for a AshexBalthier thing? I felt kinda sorry for Ashe when she was all alone in her castle at the end  so maybe Ashelthier :-)P) wouldnt be such a bad thing ^_^

It seemed as if something was going on with them, especially after the cutscene when you reach the Hunter's Camp at Phon Coast. When Ashe learned Balthier's story it seemed as if she felt for him, at least that's how I saw it. It seemed as if she admired him, maybe she even had a crush on him. She saw the other of the infamous Sky Pirate who was a good person who had had a troubled past, especially the partial loss of his father(Venat and his obsession with nethicite).

Admittedly this was one thing I missed the most in XII was a love story. :'(

..... I don't know, for me it was really hard to tell since the game lacked a lot of chemistry between them to begin with. The relationships in this game really weren't that well done in my opinion. Most of the relationships where like that of what you'd have with most of your co-workers or better yet your peers, but I do see where your coming from. Only in the end do you see a real compassion or caring for one another, but again, to me it just seemed to little to late on SE part, if that was the intent.

So, was Ashe bothered about Balthier? Sure, but for me it only seemed to be as a good and caring friend.

I hate Ashelia..she's like the " poor poor girl of the story "...and I hate she left his friends there in town by the end of the game...and I hate her more when Penelo says in the end that she supposed that that's the way it has to be... because Ashelia now is a princess and stuff; is that really a reason to left them without any high title? ..or something like a prize or whatever, or just...continuing seeing her.

I just hope that in Revenant wings, Ashelia meet them again to at least not being myself dissapointed with her.

Although not necessary but a love story in FF always adds a little spice. Wether it be the likes of Squall just not caring for anything until something happens to change his mine. Or Zidane and Garnet which was just basically like opposite attracts - Royal princess and a nobody. Or FFX when it seemed love at first sight, it always adds a spice to the story and with FFXII not having the best story, a romance could have lightened the game up.

When I first saw the ending I also thought the same. Although they talked to each other at the Phon Coast about Balthier being a Judge. She really didn't to seem to feel any affection for him until the end. It will probably be just nothing in Revenant Wings though.

Can you really blame her that as a princess become queen that she can't exactly stick around with the likes of thieves and sky pirates? I have probably just walked into a trap considering that is a similar situation with Zidane and Garnet but still, you couldn't exactly blame her. She probably still see Basch. :D

I kinda thought Balthier had a thing for her too. Remember towards the ending after you defeat Cid...Al Cid held Ashe's hand and invited her to Rozarria, telling her he'd like to take her to Ambervale of Clan Margrace. Clearly, he was flirting with her. Anyway, after he left, the scene focuses to Balthier and you can hear him sigh in annoyance, and turned his head to the side, kinda gritting his teeth. So he was actually jealous.
