Personally, I don't see the difference, because I don't think the graphics matter, as long as the game is good and with a good storyline, and charecters you can warm to.
That was the problem with FF13, the graphics looked AMAZING. However the story was messed up and no explination to some of terms and main meanings of the game.
 
Story > Graphics... BUT, I think it's undeniable that better graphics improve the quality of the game, to a degree graphics make up a lot of the game. Better graphics mean better environments, better textures, more detail, better facial expressions and detail, better body language etc. All these small details can really add to a game. Graphics should no means ever be a substitute for the story but in general I think graphics can be overlooked in terms of importance.
