About Chocobos

Are yu guys serious, I went there just know and it beat the shit out of me, I had to run, it oecked me for six thousand damage a pop, my guys are all level sixty five ish.
 
It's great how you fight Chocobos in this game and they look very nice in XII as well. I've heard a lot about this Lv 99 Red Chocobo, my friend told me but I 'aint seen it anywhere? Or is it one that only appears when you're levels are really high?

it doesnt matter at what level you are if you look in the right place you will find it although it is rare to find and isnt it a black chocobo i dont know much about it as i havent killed it
 
As we've said, you have to clear the area out in front of the Garif village. Completely clear it out. Exit and re-enter. There is an extremely low chance it will be there. If it isn't, walk two screens away. Walk two screens back. Try again.

but yea, it is. I might try it once to see if it'll show up but it doesn't really seem worth it. Similarly, you can get another Zodiac Spear but the changes of the treasure chest showing up are crazy impossible, the chances for it to contain an item (ie - not gil) are low, and then there is like a 1 in 10 chance of it containing the spear, not an elixir. I only bring it up because today while I was leveling in the Henne mines, there she stood. I went over, opened the chest.... elixir. *Damn*
 
Yeah the Level 99 Red Chocobo shows up ever 1/265 chances after you clear the area and re-enter. I sugget that if you run into it, don't run away, Harbringer. It's a bitch to make re-appear then again. Take your beating and try to suck it up and fight it out. If he kills you, so be it. Make sure you've saved recently.
 
Now that I think about it, I do miss the Flying Black Chocobo of FFV. It would be so awesome to fight a flying one and not just ground bound types.
