Why the hell my PS1 memory card don't work on my PS2?!!!

is your ps2 the original model,, mine is the flat one, i just heard that not all 1st model of the ps2 work fine specially when making stuff from ps1.

i have a friend who owns a 1st model of ps2, but all his ps1 cd's doesn't work on his ps2. maybe thats the reason why it wont work on you.

I have the non slimeline ps2, as has my brother for several years and they have no problem

Do you have a cheap 3rd party memory card or one of the 1st party Sony ones? I know when I first bought a memory card for my PS1, it was a 3rd party one and didn't save any of my FF games, but just Crash Bandicoot games and my NFL Madden games. This is when I used it on my PS2 that is. Then I traded that in and bought a Sony official one and haven't ahd problems with using it on my PS2 yet.

yes it can be played on a ps1, in fact thats what im doing (im finally getting around to playing it for the first time ) however, when i go to save it the game slows down and it takes awhile to save, not to long, just longer then it should take. i dont know if this has anythin to do with it but i have to use memory card port 2, 1 wont work for some reason with my ps1 card

I have had no problem with 3rd party or 1st party ps1 memory cards

You can play the FF7 disc in the PS2, but you have to save it on a PS1 memory card, that's all.

Thats Not Interally True, My FF7 Discs Dont Work On My PS2, Lucky Ive Still Got My PS1 Eh?
