this is a glitch i read about in the guide. if you get your health to 7777 exactly every attack you use will deal 7777 dmg exactly. this topic is mainly for people who don't know about this glitch and it will help them out a lot. well maybe anyways seeing as getting exactly 7777 health is very near impossible to do.
 
I've only done this once and it was not intentional. Cid ended up getting 7777 health and he kept continuously attacking until the enemy died. (It was just a random battle) It was pretty cool watching it though.

I don't think it's a glitch. I think the programers put it there intentionally for fun.

There is a cheat for getting 7777 health on all your characters. You'd have to look it up because I don't know what it is off the top of my head.
 
It's not a glitch at all.

It's actually how the developers intended for us (the players) to defeat Emerald Weapon.

Get HP to 9999, use a certain materia (its name escapes me) that puts it down to 7777 and there you go bob's your uncle.
 
another way to get 7777HP is to get 7767HP first in a previous battle (you can attack yourself with a character with mini status), and the use a potion when you want to get 7777HP.
 
I got it once against Emerald Weapon :monster: It's the only time Iv'e ever had it or ever beaten Emerald.

I know you can get Barret to have it by getting him a certain level with certain materia but I never bothered to try so I can't remember what it was

Dunno about the other charactyers
 
I didn't know about that.
I'll have to test it out sometime but I'm pretty sure that it's not a glitch but was added intentionally. =)
 
'Twas an intentional addition :neomon: It's the Lucky Seven cheat, something they added for fun. I doubt that would be a glitch anyways; it's far too involved.

Anywho, I got the Lucky Sevens when I was fighting Ruby and Emerald. 'Twas fun stuff, but I was underlevelled and needed the boost anyways :giggle:
 
I only got 7777 hp once during my battle with ruby weapon but if there is any way of getting it intensionally i would do it but i am clueless.
 
I read this in a guide years ago, I think this is the same one anyway, although I'm not sure if it works or not because I haven't tried it, but it's the one for Barret

First you should equipt Barret with the Missing Score and a Wizard Braclet, he must be on level 70,
then equpit him with the following materia:
5 of HP Plus (1 star),
Phoenix (2 stars),
Time (2 stars),
Barrier (2 stars),
Full Cure (2 stars),
Destruct (3 stars).
You can also equipt him with as much materia as you want that does not alter his HP (command materia).
If you have done this correctly Barret will have 7777 HP and every attack he hits will be for 7777!

thanks for reminding me what the name was. it's a useful glitch, at least from what i have heard, because i've never gotten lucky 7s. that might be because i always cast regen on myself.
 
be aware if you are extremely unlucky this can happen to you too, it happened to me when I was fighting Materia Keeper and that battle ended very badly
 
The 7777 glitch sounds awesome.My kind of glitch. :D I think I'll play ff7 again and make Barret on level 70 and try the glitch.But cooky what do you mean by it ended badly?Did you do the glitch wrong or something and in the battle it didnt work?

I think it means the same thing that happened to me! I'm just replaing VII and got to the matria keeper, im waiting for him to unless trine, but somehow his hp gets to 7777. Which means he starts hitting at 7777!!!! Managed to hit him before he killed my entire party. :omg:

so yeah, not good when it happens to bosses!!

I mean Materia Keeper had exactly 7777hp and finished the party off almost instantly :P
 
i'm kind of confuse wat the lucky 7777 does so can some one explain it to me and how it helps with the fight against rub and emerald i would be really grateful if someone told me

As soon as any charater, or enemy reaches 7777hp their attacks will equal 7777hp

so if any enemy falls down to 7777, his attacks start hitting that much off you!

but as people have said above, you can fix barret to have hp of 7777 so that he hits 7777 everytime (until he levels up, loses hp etc)
