4 Player - Final Fantasy VII Race

4 People playing 4 Different copies of Final Fantasy 7... The first to complete the game wins.

But, to make things interesting... We would like to have challenges. For example!


CHALLENGES

  • You are only allowed ONE summon in your party at one time.

  • You must kill at least ONE weapon (Non-Storyline)



It needs to be fair though!

It would be interesting to see what everyone comes up with, and we cannot wait to start recording the race in the future!

This sounds very interesting, although, would it not be more fair to assign a particular challenge?

i.e. "no materia" runs would take significantly longer than the "buster sword only" type runs, where switching job types would counter the handicap.
 
It's more or less like particular challenges to do in the game. Not a limitation run, if we did a 'No Materia' run, it would be quite insane with 4 people.. But, it would make it interesting..
 
I think we may end up going with a more grounded challenge the first time, but if it works out, we might start doing some more crazy stuff. We are looking to try something new with our gaming =)
 
No Limit Hold Em:
You may not use limit breaks on bosses. If you get a limit break, you must use it on a trash fight. If you get one mid boss, you lose your attack command.

Tight Man Challenge:
You may not use shops, or spend any money (except when plot required), you can only buy temporary passes to the gold saucer, you may not dispose of any cash in any way unless required to continue the game.

There Can Be Only One:
You may only use 1 of each materia at a time (counts for all materia, across all 3 characters). You may not use double growth weapons, you may only use each item once per battle.
