Until now, every screenshot and in-game image of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was taken at 1100 hours in the game’s day/night cycle. Now that the game’s beta testing phase approaches next month, localization manager Fernehalwes treated us to a sneak peek of the game’s night cycle in Gridana with different phases of Hydaelyn’s moon.
In Final Fantasy XI, you could gain a crafting bonus by facing a certain direction during the game’s element-phased calendar. Mr. Fernehalwes seemed to hint that this may return — so I’ll just insert the old standby of “please look forward to it” for his sake.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s PC beta phase is scheduled to begin in mid-February, with the PS3 test coming later this spring.
