A sequel to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, the FF rhythm game with music from every main game in the series (sans 14, oddly enough) is in the works for 3DS, and is set to release in Spring 2014 in Japan.
The game will feature over 200 songs, 60 characters, and feature a new versus battle mode. All very welcome additions, since the first game had relatively few characters, only 55 songs (an extra 52 as DLC) and practically no multiplayer modes at all, and was sadly a little light on content overall.
No confirmation of a Western release yet, but Square Enix filed a trademark for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call in the US earlier this month.
Great news, Theatrhythm was a solid game marred by a lack of variety in modes and a song selection that while still good, lacked a lot of really great tracks from the series, and this seems to go a long way toward fixing that up.
