nothing ever "broke the 9999 damage barrier"....nothing...the only way something did is if you counted getting multiple shots in the same turn as "breaking the damage limit"...otherwise, no FF until X broke the damage limit EVER...
for God's sake, learn how to type/spell...you type like a 2 year old...
anyway, My favorite weapons are the Excalibur, Rod of Faith and Tournesol...
Rod of Faith rocks....Rod of Faith + Sage's Ring + Magic Boosting Robes = nearly infinite magic...
ah, I just thought of what it was...Marquis...it was pronounced Mar-KWIS in the game...but, being a French word, it SHOULD be pronounced Mar-KEY...that is pretty inexcusable for something THAT glaring to make it through recording...
or you could do like I did and have a DreamCast and play the fan-translated ROM for the NESTER DC emulator for DreamCast...a hell of a lot cheaper option than buying a DS, and you get the same game minus the DS improvements...
and that isn't even taking into consideration the blatant mispronunciation of the french word...forget what the word is off the top of my head, but it is blatantly mispronounced...

I'd go with either the original NES FF1, or the ROM running on a...
eh, I would love it and buy it (III is, IMHO, probably the best JOB-based FF, aside from Tactics - V had a crappy, lame-ass story and waaaayyy too many status effects - when your HP randomly starts ticking down and you can't cure yourself in a battle, that is a gay status effect), and...
yes, it does, but combine that with the Staff of the Magi - or it might be the Rod of Faith - whichever one boosts magic power the most (combined with Sage's Ring and Magic Clothes, and use high-end attack magic such as Scourge or Scathe or Holy) and the Excalibur or another heavy-hitting weapon...
wow, I can't believe no one said about the "dilly-dally, shilly-shally" line...that about kills the entire English audio track for me...couldn't they have found a more appropriate phrase for Tifa to say than "DILLY DALLY, SHILLY SHALLY"? WTF does that even MEAN, anyway?
