I loved FF11. The story was epic and was always "in tune" with all the other ones. Lifestreams, evil government-like figures, etc. FF11 also had the traditional enemies like Behemoths, omega/ultima weapons. You'd see similar NPC names like Cid and Gilgamesh, which I am pretty sure will be...
Vanille.
Everytime she talks it makes me cringe. She has like a english accent mixed with something else and most of her "sentenses" are eithe0r phrases or incoherent. Everytime I watch a cutscene its unbearable, except when she is the narrator.
I think it said that blacksmith could make new weapons and special arrows and whatever in real time during combat, which would be really cool. Support classes that can make your party better, but at the detriment of losing a real class... hmmm
Thanks for sharing the info!! It's really nice to see the early developments of the classes ffxiv intends to release. Interestingly you will notice that several classes offer different stances, the pugilist for example has an offensive and defensive stance... Alot of the classes are coming back...
Well said.
FF has brought back some memorable people, items and creatures for legends sake; Cid, Behemoth, Ragnarok, etc. Thought these titles may not show in this one, I still think XIII will be a good one in its differences. I think we're all stuck in the epic FFs that square came out with...
Terms like what?... I agree for DAO. I love the fact that every piece of armor looked different, and let you customize your setup more. This really bothered me in X and XII since there was a significant improvement in graphics...
What are your complaints to far?
What do you guys think about the fact that your character's design doesnt change other than the weapon held? It's always been like that to an extent, witht he exception of 11. Games that didn't allow several skins kind of bothered me... I always liked my tank looking like a tank, and not a...
My gf preordered it for my birthday... she doesnt want to give it to me now because she says she wants it to be a surprise... seeing everyone else's copy makes me want to squirm. Plus I'm typing this from work which makes it all the worst.
FML
I read the same. Being a linear game does bother me because being a huge fan of 7, 11 and 12 all of which allowed sidetracking and going back, etc.
Thinking about it now makes me more upset. But Squareenix has always found a way to turn it around. Even though the game doesn't suggest any...
What GBJoker said +1
I believe FFXI is more oriented towards end game. Haven't plaid it for 3 years now but I was on it since the JPrelease.
They barely released any early game content from what I can remember, and the only reason why I tolerated the game is because when I started it...
I just realized the title.. meant FFXIV lol. I played FFXI about 7 years ago, had barely to do then, highschool and that was it. I remember having to put in ridiculous time to level up since you had to assemble a group, so I'd hope they fixed that aspect of it.
Thanks for the headsup in the...
Those migrating from FFXI will know exactly what I mean.
What are everybody's thoughts on FFIV being more solo-based, or balanced? If you guys can remember being a warrior, samurai or darkknight in FFXI, then you probably remember waiting 5 hours for a party invite.
I'm kind of hoping they...
Xtrabiotoxin the comparison looks pretty accurate to me. Except I don't think they'll have the same spells like Drains, Sentinel and etc. but I think we can except the same layouts.
Gladiator = Offensive line, mainly DOT and tank with party enhancive abilities or taunts.
Lancer =...
They will release an xbox version as well. SE signed with microsoft a few years ago and will then release FF14 just like they did FF11... but no vent :(
I agree... They shouldn't bring "jobs" back, they should introduct builds. Tanks, DPS and magic. Something under 8 or 10 builds, then allow the player to customize his character, Paladin with alot of defensive stats but that excels in white magic instead of uselessly dealign 1 dmg point? YES...
Well in response to the action bar... XI had a macroset which I think was the beauty of the game. I'm not ready to compare it to gambits but I love the whole aspect of setting a macro list for chain commands.. such as changing gear, using ability/casting spell, etc. I believe the summons were...
If anything this will only make FF11 more interesting for those who already play it. FFXI came out almost 10 years ago in Japan and since then the game has only suffered by overpopulated servers. I would really recommend this game and have you not worry about FF14 since it will not effect your...
