What lionheartcs said. I'm pretty sure Saboteurs lower the rate of the chain gauge dropping as well, so you might want to try a SAB, RAV, RAV combo, then switch to COM, COM, RAV when the enemy is staggered.
But without a doubt, lionheart's idea is good.
That actually helps me out a lot. Thanks!
Makes sense too. Most of the time your only going to use commando, ravager, and medic. The specialist, saboteur, and sentinel are really only consistently used in boss battles. Even if you have to use them sometimes, that's why you have Lightning...
Well, I was going to use the characters you said NOT to use. May want to think that strategy over.
Then again, looking at my stats, Lightning's are BY FAR the best. Not quite sure why though.
I guess, but what would she be able to do? Shoot the party while she gets slashed in half by Odin?
At least the Primarch ended up being a fal'Cie, so he's PROBABLY going to be the final boss. I guess you never know though.
How do you guys feel about Auto-battle? Just curious, because I can't see this system played any other way. It's too quick to put in your own commands. If you want to stop charging the ATB bar and use only 1 command you could just press triangle anyway...
I found Sentinels to be a huge help in this battle, particularly for the first half. I personally had Snow, Vanille, and Lightning, and the only real paradigms I used were:
SEN, MED, COM
SEN, RAV, COM
For the second half of the battle, you'll want to try something different though. He uses a...
For a while he was the most interesting character in the game for me. Then it was Lightning. Then Hope. Then Sazh again. Then Vanille.
By the end, they'll all have a turn. =P
- Music - Some of this music is flat-out horrible. Chapter 4 and Chapter 6 come to mind as being extremely annoying for me, at least for music.
- Eidolons - The battles for the Eidolons aren't bad, they're great actually. It's a good change to just trying to fight to kill enemies. However...
Well, their weakness is fire, if that helps situations.
Also, I tend to start off with a commando & ravager combo, moving to ravager and ravager. This makes them (and most other enemies) really easy to stagger, because the commando really decreases how quickly that chain gauge decreases. You...
It gets challenging. Only at Chapter 9, but it's certainly more challenging than chapter 5. I only beat the Chapter 8 boss because I buffed my guys so much that it hit like no damage...
Not a bad idea actually. There really is nothing gained from leveling up your roles from what I can see, at least stat-wise. Just bragging rights and the ability to move on in the crystarium pretty much.
As far as I know, that time that was your benchmark for each battle is NOT the time for a 5-star rating. It's the time for about a 3/4-star rating, if what I've seen in my game is any indication. It would be nice if they showed the 5-star rating time though.
There's also an equip towards the...
