Upgrade to a White Mage soon. You'll want to get your magic levels up once you start getting level 6 magic, which a Red Mage can't use. Scholar ... unless you have an abundance of damaging items, these guys are useless. Only for the Hein boss are they kinda useful. Geomancers are VERY useful...
