I'm going to say Xenogears, definitely. Oh, where to start with this game...
It's starts out so basic, the amnesiac hero and his destroyed home town, and evolves into this massively epic thing that I don't even know how to describe. So many links to religion and psychology. The most...
It does get better, but if you're not really interested yet, you may not ever be. The unfortunate thing about anything that gets a lot of love and hype is that it almost can't live up to expectations.
Part of the reason VII is so very loved is, at its time, there really wasn't anything else...
I'm going to give you two quotations that sum up my feelings on love, one short and one long.
'"Love" is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.' Robert A. Heinlein
A couple of people I've given this definition to find it insufficient. And, well...
Ah, well a lot of people call it asexual. Nevermind that the word asexual actually refers to reproduction by budding. But some people who do not wish sex and/or romance refer to themselves as asexual. So.
I would advise you to keep an open mind, however. I generally advise against actively...
Auron was definitely my favorite character in this game, but I think his sending was good enough as is. What's important is his attitude there, calmly walking out of the world, job finally finished, as he tells everybody "this is your world now." I think it's an awesome scene and have no...
It's an interesting question. I think VII would still be a classic, iconic game without it, but perhaps not as much. Like someone else said, I think of the Nibelheim flashback as the real defining moment of the game, and the events just a little earlier in the Shinra tower and the escape from...
What do you think the best and worst plot twists in the series are?
My favorite is in VII with
The worst, IMO, is the reveal in VIII that
So what do you guys think?
It really doesn't matter what order you play them in, and they're all worth a try, but I would recommend getting to VI and VII soon. They're the most often referenced (so they're harder to avoid spoilers for) and arguably the best.
The thing is, they do this with nearly every character to appear in multiple games. Pretty much every character to appear in Advent Children gets a different outfit. Yuffie gets different outfits in Kingdom Hearts and Dirge of Cerberus. Cloud and Squall both get different outfits in Kingdom...
To be totally honest, it was the Noozles, which was this show about magic koalas that aired on Nickolodeon when I was 3 or 4. I didn't know it was anime, however.
The first anime I really followed was DragonballZ, which I never would have watched, except it came on after ReBoot on Toonami. I...
This game has its flaws, but it's definitely worth getting.
Here are the reasons I think people dislike it:
1) It's different. VII was great and then they did this weird thing. VIII has a very different battle system that threw out old staples like armor and MP. It also has a different sort...
For the most part, they're the same game with minor tweaks and/or updated translations, with the exception of FFIV DS, which is a 3D redo of the original. I would probably recommend the GBA or PS version of that one. The original has a pretty lousy translation, and the DS version is cool, but it...
I pretty much love ACC. My biggest complaint about Advent Children was that I didn't feel it portrayed Cloud very well, he was too mopey. But somehow, the added scenes redeem his character for me. Also, I was a touch disappointed in the original Cloud vs. Sephiroth fight, but the extended...
I'm going to tell you some things, in case you haven't heard them before. You can ignore me, I'm just some person on the internet. And heck, I don't know you, you may be exaggerating with the anorexia. But you're doing yourself a huge amount of harm in the long run if you ever want to be able to...
I'm gonna second Shu here and say it really depends on the job. If it's something like an engineer or a programmer, you mostly need the knowledge. But, you still need to not have a completely vile personality so that you can get your foot in the door and be hired. Everything else... well, mostly...
I'd be interested to know how some of you guys who have just been getting into the series like the last three books. The first four were pretty much mind-bendingly awesome, but there was a huge gap between Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla, IMO Sai King lost the feel somewhat. They still...
I'm really enjoying the show lately. Just recently caught up with both the anime and manga. This newest opening was AWESOME, though admittedly pretty spoilerific. I've been watching it with my bf, who hasn't read the manga, and I don't think I'm going to watch the opening again with him, he...
First of all, you express yourself beautifully.
Second, your life will probably not get worse than it is right now. You may face things that are worse, but you'll be better equipped to handle it.
As for stage fright, the only thing I know of that can get a person truly over it is performing in...
Has anyone else here read these? I really can't offer up enough praise for them, and they have a connection to us Final Fantasy people, what with the main character being named after our favorite treasure hunter and all. ;)
The first book is set in what is more or less a fantasy version of...
