I always liked the idea of a prequel. Jecht and Braska are both great characters, and while Auron is a great character, the younger version is whiny, cautious and "clean". It would have created a very interesting dynamic, and despite the fact we essentially would have known the ending, they...
I think it's unfair to compare FFX-2 next to others in the "main" series. It's clearly a lot less serious, and was made using a lot of the blueprints from FFX, and basically smacks of fanservice. X-2 is a fun game in its own right, the job system is great, and was a nice extension for FFX fans...
I had to go with FFVII. I love the story, the music, the characters, the feel, the atmosphere. I love the materia system, and how it can be as simple or as complicated as you want it, and also how the backstory to materia dovetails neatly with the mako plotline.
It may be rose-tinted...
I'm struggling with this one. I always used to say FFII, but FFXIII is really poor in my opinion. It's a decent game in general, but as a Final Fantasy game, it is disappointing. I think for that reason, I'll have to stick with FFII, but it is a close one. FFII had an awkward system (which I...
I really enjoyed WWE 13, but it was really largely down to the Attitude Era mode. Bret and Shawn circa. 97 is my all time favourite wrestling period, so it was just a trip down memory lane.
I hope they sort out the WWE Universe mode. I think it should be a little smarter when it comes to making...
I have the DS version, which I bought on the strength that loads of people have it on top of their "Top 10 RPGs" lists. Honestly, about 5 hours in, I wasn't enjoying it, but I'm prepared to give it another roll.
I'm not at the moment, but will be doing shortly. I've never managed to collect all the cards, which will be my target for this next playthrough. I've already beaten Omega, so it's more or less the last thing I need to do.
I can't help but love this game. I take what I can from it, and the biggest thing this game has going for it in 2013 is the level of difficulty it offers. I also really like grindy RPGs, and FFI lets you be very, very grindy.
Hey all. I'm not sure how many fans of Premier League teams there are on here, but lets see if we can get some discussion going. Here are some of the main stories going into the upcoming season.
Arsenal: They look likely to hold on to their best couple of players this season, usually the lose...
I really enjoyed Pacific Rim, I thought it was one of the best pure action films I've seen in quite a while. My main critcism is that they clearly spent the vast majority of their budget on digital effects, and the acting was a little average from some characters. If they'd have invested a...
Usually in the Highwind or the Ragnarok, I'd fly round aimlessly, making dramatic turns and stuff. All the while I'd have songs from Top Gun in my head, like Danger Zone, Mighty Wings, and Faltermayer's Top Gun Theme.
Those were the days...
My girlfriend is six and a half years younger than me. She was 18 when we got together and I was 24. Honestly, if she was your average 18 year old, it wouldn't have worked out, but she really doesn't have the same values of someone her age. We were lucky, neither her parents or my parents made...
Welcome to the forum!!
I'd recommend Playing FFV first. It's easy going, lighthearted, and the job system is highly addictive. Plus then when you play FFVI afterwards you can observe the nice progression from FFV to FFVI.
I think a small few that you can unlock somehow would be nice, but there needn't be a plethora of outfits to choose from. I really don't care that much at all, it's hardly a dealbreaker.
Yeah, the bragging rights were more than enough reward for me when I beat Penance on FFX. Bragging rights isn't really the term, it's more a sense of accomplishment really. I've been playing FFX for 10 years, and never had the patience to prepare for, and then battle Penance. It felt like the...
Bahamut, because he is amazing. I thought he was cool all the way through the series, and then I played FFX. The way he just stands there with his arms folded is nothing short of epic.
Yeah, actually that's why myself, along with a load of others didn't like it. But honestly, the fact that X-2 was such a departure from X gave me hope that XIII-2 would be so different from XIII that I would actually enjoy it. Know what I mean?
I would make the next Final Fantasy game a return to its roots.
-I'd not put everything into making the graphics amazing (but still on the level of the current gen)
-I'd ask Mr. Uematsu to name his price to come back and score at least one more game
-There would be returns for the world map...
