Nokia 3210 (almost identical to the 3310, just a bit larger and it had Snake 1, not Snake 2). My parents refused to buy me a cellphone so I bought it off my friend when she upgraded to a 3310. At one stage after an unfortunate screen-shattering accident I had to use a Nokia 5510, which I was...
I recently had the ending of Mass Effect 3 spoiled for me. I'm only on the first one but I'm still rather annoyed.
Oh and I seem to encounter spoilers for House at every turn. I only started watching it recently so when people talk about it they don't realise not everyone is on the latest...
The best gift I ever received was one of 1000 copies of Amano's "The Sky" collection of FF artwork books. After that all my game consoles, and I still remember the unadulterated joy of unwrapping FFIX as a kid. The nicest gift I received recently was a casing for the HDD I salvaged from my...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember any voice acting in FFIII DS :-/
I absolutely love the DS version but if I want a challenge or feel nostalgic I play the original. The remake obviously trumps the original in many ways but it was a great game for 1990.
Paladin Cecil - heroic and noble, and probably one of the best looking FF protagonists to boot. He's not whiney, he's not tanned and he . Can't get better than that.
Now if I were a guy, I'd be spoiled for choice. All FF4's women are beautiful and good natured. But if I had to choose one I'd...
Anna Varney Cantodea of Sopor Aeternus is delightfully creepy. I enjoy his/her music but there are some songs which are a little OTT for me, and let's not get started on the music videos! Though Anna is a disturbing individual there is just something about him/her that is fascinating and even a...
I needed the Magus Sisters, I just couldn't seem to beat him without them. Perhaps I was a little underpowered, but I was defeating everything in my path with ease until I encountered Aeon Jecht, then it was just pwnage in all directions. I'd like to try without them next time, maybe my strategy...
I'd probably live in VII for Cosmo Canyon. A vacation to Gold Saucer would be the highlight of my year, with maybe a getaway to Icicle Inn now and then
Mr Revolution, you have said everything I wanted to say. If I do play this game, however, I'll be happy to see Snow. Always had a silly crush on him :-p But it seems his new direction won't be to my liking.
I'd go for FFXIII, followed by XII, XIII-2, X-2 and finally X. For their first foray into voice acting, X isn't THAT bad, but when compared to the later games it definitely shows its flaws.
As much as I ADORE Tonberry and moogles, I'll go with the Chocobo. He's been around since FFII and has never been excluded from any of the following games. Probably the most recognisable FF creature as well, even my friends who have never played FF know what a Chocobo is.
I would definitely pick it up, what with the current PC version being near impossible to play on modern systems without a million mods, and the lack of a PS1 memory card along with scratched discs. And I so do hate the PS1 emulators.
Beaten each game in the main series, including X-2 and XIII-2. I found X to be the hardest. I could not defeat the final Aeon without the help of the Magus Sisters :-/ But I never really put much effort into FFX, I played through the main quest and couldn't be bothered to do anything else except...
I would and wouldn't. But then I think that changing the slightest "bad" thing could drastically alter many wonderful events that happened subsequently in my life. None of us can see the passage or pattern of time, cause and effect. We can only wish we hadn't done something because we feel...
Hahah lovely stories! Makes me think back to my teenage years, my mom was utterly convinced I was smoking pot, and one night my best friend and I came back home after going "to the movies" (our usual excuse). I had torn a cellphone catalogue off the bathroom wall of the bar we'd snuck into, to...
