I made a thread a while back about how much I loved this game. It's up there with any of my favourite movies, books, songs etc. As a final fantasy game it's awesome and definitely one of my favourites within the series. As a game in general it's still one of the best the ps2 had to offer and as...
I'm drooling waiting to get my hands on this collection. I lost a huge part of my ps2 collection years ago, including ZOE and ZOE2. :( It will be awesome to replay them again. It has been too long...
I've come across this game a few times during my late night youtube wanderings. Always intrigued me. I think it's by the same development company as Dark Chronicle right? Thanks for reminding me about it
I agree with everyone in here that if you liked XIII then you should definitely get the game. Coincidentally I saw it today in ASDA for £10 ;) However, just to add my 2c FF XIII and XIII-2 were the only FF games I've ever traded in. Usually I like to keep hold of the games for my 'collection'...
Just replayed XII after only previously playing it once. I have to say this time I enjoyed it a lot more. I still prefer the old school turn based/active time based system because I'm a nostalgic fiend, but I didn't hate the whole 'complete open world' theme this time and I enjoyed some of the...
It's probably a contributing factor that made up the games charm. Though I admit nostalgia and childhood experience are probably swaying me towards a biased perspective. I'm not suggesting that games should go back to the pre-rendered backdrop days, but I think that this feature definitely added...
Good point. I guess it all comes down to personal opinion. I liked the old school pre-rendered backgrounds. They used them in the old Resident Evil games which I think still surpass all the new ones they bring out which have contemporary visuals.
Ah, fair enough. Do you really think updated visuals would add much though? I find the old polygon arms quaint...
My personal opinion on this remake is pretty neutral right now. I think I'd prefer to get a brand new game that surpasses all the other FF's so far in terms of story, character...
Perhaps. Though I think the new experience attributed to the spin offs is because they are new stories with new gameplay mechanics etc. If VII was to be remade it would either be exactly the same game with updated graphics or they would change a lot of the features and create a whole new...
I've been thinking lately that people are enraptured with the 'idea' of a remake rather than the actual thing. I bet once it was released we'd see a clear divide between 'noob fans' and 'old school' fans. Hipsters galore -_-
Yeah it's pretty much the strongest piece on the entire soundtrack. Strange with X-2. I didn't like it much at all when I played it, but I always remember the music like Memory of the Lightwaves. So, I find myself thinking on it fondly at times and have to remind myself that it sucks and I only...
True. It's definitely worth it a few years later when you realise you've got quite good. Piano seems to be one of them lifelong instruments too. As in it can take a lifetime to master all the intricacies like dynamics and stuff.
*makes mental note to pick keyboard up from home*
Jealous ¬ _ ¬ I play the guitar so I suppose I could learn this on my acoustic....whenever I hear a piece like this I wish I could play piano too. I've got a keyboard lying round somewhere so I suppose I should learn :P but it's like starting from scratch again!
Just been listening to this soundtrack (my favourite thing of X-2 - the music) for the first time and it's awesome! Some of the tracks are beautiful and I can't recall them being in the game...someone might want to correct me on that.
Wind Crest is probably my personal favourite. Anyone else...
Big fan of the HP series. I grew up reading it :D So yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to whatever she writes next. So far from what I've read virtually no details have been revealed so it's anyone's guess at this stage as to the plot etc.
Tears of blood! Many lives were lost in the making of this game...
haha no I agree though. It's one of the few games that strikes a balance between the storytelling and the side quests etc. Where as a game like XII was all about equipment and secret bosses and less about a story.
I think I'm...
