This won't be aimed directly at you, but at everyone who speaks like your quote above: Opinions. I'm being anal about it, but that really should have been worded as 'I enjoyed VI-X much more than I did XII and XIII'. Again, I mean nothing against you, I just dislike seeing 'FF<insert here> is...
The thrill of the game is exactly that difficulty. This game(s) is aimed at the 'hardcore' (and i hate using that term) audience, the kind who don't mind dying over and over and over and over and over, because it's the challenge they seek, not the victory. It is a double-edged sword in that most...
On this forum alone there are some posts that I'm less than proud of. Everyone who posts on the internet has said things they regretted later. Seeing an old post is like looking at your past self.
Sometimes I get cynical thoughts about pervasive promiscuity taking over all of our societal values, but I think back to the actual women I see out and about, and deem those thoughts silly. There are certainly many women who rack up the partners, but I don't think they're a majority. Ditto for...
I can't take that female character seriously. Her dress goes all the way up to just below her crotch, and the backside is open down to the top of her butt. And she's wearing thigh-high boots. Granted, plenty of female characters are super sexualized, but that dress is ridiculous. It distracts me...
This is good news! Now I have something else to look forward to. I'll put this on the back burner and turn my attention back to my other interests while casually keeping an eye out for more updates.
This, though not just because I like the games. A small but vocal sect of the ZoE fanbase adamantly attacks all other mech series, notably Armored Core (and Gundam). A new game would not only be a joy for all ZoE fans but would FINALLY shut up the fanboys who feel the need to downplay other...
If you want a different kind of RPG, i suggest the .hack// series. There's a ton of media spread all over about its lore, but you only need to play the games to get the gist of everything (they're the core experience). The story revolves around an MMO called The World. The series is known for...
I prefer to be the 'master' or creator of the RP world. The possibilities are endless. I haven't done an RP in a long time, but when I did it was to pseudo-realize the world I have stored in my head. It granted me a form of freedom.
Assuming they're innocent from no DNA evidence, that's great news. Hopefully it pulls through.
I debate a lot, but I try to keep myself reasonable, mostly. :)
I'm basing that off all the legalities that need to be addressed before someone's put onto Death Row. There isn't overwhelming support for the DP, but in some criminal cases there can be for the individual criminal. I'd have to read a law book to be concrete, so admittedly I could be wrong here...
there are black people who take equal offense to the term African American too. You can't please everyone. Just say Black People, or White People, or Asian People. Or replace Black with Brown. Sazh would be my favorite character regardless.
I might give Deus Ex a shot, then. There are definitely good RPGs from this gen, but I don't think the numbers of RPGs made now are near the amount that used to be made before this generation. At least, not ones that make it overseas. The handhelds have done a fair job of carrying the jRPG...
I'll look into it; that does make more sense than what I had thought prior. I've had lucid dreams before, but they are rare.
EDIT: though, re-reading your post, it still means we only use a portion of our brain at any one time.
Perhaps I'm just being nostalgic, but I feel the heyday of RPGs has passed with the PS2. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough for them this generation. It might have to do with me being older and having less time for gaming than before. Even so, there's a difference between RPGs past and now. It's...
this thread makes me want to play XII again, just so I can get lost and be able to relate :)
I probably spent more time in this place than in any other part of the world.
