Is it just me, or did environments take a hit visually? Characters and effects look fine, but the terrain and architecture looks rather disappointingly low-detail. Look at the field for instance--very short LOD distance, foliage is sparse and the base ground texture is low-res, not to mention...
I always enjoy trying my hand at playing the Phantom of Phantom of the Opera. His musical roles are often difficult but I always learn a lot through each attempt to perfect them and they serve as a benchmark for me to see how far I've come. While there's still plenty about this cover I'd rather...
It's seriously impressive how well Squaresoft's CGI holds up. Granted these were actually made after Final Fantasy X, but still, we're talking CGI that looks as good if not better than FFX that was made for a low-budget re-release of games that were already quite old at the time.
Nice video!
Just a quick update: after doing some testing, I may have found a solution that will both solve the iPhone issue and make the mobile version of the site more consistent across different devices in general. We'll try to implement it soon and see how it goes!
Thanks for the screenshots, Fil sent me a PM about this a few days ago and I've been swamped ever since but I will look into it as soon as possible. It appears to be a matter of how webkit-based browsers handle viewports versus other browsers. Finding a solution that makes webkit render at...
I thought this was the case, actually, but it turns out I was wrong! Good news below...
I went back over all of my code tonight and I'm not seeing anything that could be causing this. It would be unusual for CSS to even be capable of causing this sort of issue, but I'll keep an eye open...
Six thanks for the heads-up. A few notes by way of response:
Forum format is blown up. Can't zoom out. Not 100% sure what you mean here--is this the same zoom bug as before where you can't see all the content? That should've been eliminated. A screenshot would be helpful. In general, the site...
Wow, interesting! Doubted this would happen because a PC port didn't originally exist, but I'm glad to be proven wrong. Curious as to whether this is a native port now or just emulated (like FFIII/IV on PC, which run on Android emulators). If it really is native, then I will be impressed.
So one of the gifts I received for Christmas this year was the original Distant Worlds album, which I have been listening to constantly ever since, but especially this song. Since I've never played FFXI I never heard it before but I was immediately reminded of FFXIV's Answers, which makes sense...
Twas the night before Christmas when all through the night, not a Moogle was stirring, not even a mite.
The air was crisp, the snow pure white, the Tonberries beaming with pure delight
The chef knives were glinting all covered with blood, while hundreds of Cactuar fell with a thud.
Lalafells...
At this point Square Enix is still in recovery mode from poor management that guided (or misguided, perhaps) them through the PS3/360 generation. Nearly every first-party project they have in the oven right now has ties to something left half-baked from several years ago. Because they've already...
It's not an issue, you all are running different versions of Windows 10. Sometime back in autumn Microsoft published a big update to Windows 10 akin to Windows 8.1 last generation and all the service packs before that. It changed some visual elements around, the taskbar and context menus being...
