There are a few swords that can be upgraded to have more raw power. But the buster is going to be your best if your prefer the stagger feature. Just personal preferences!
Very much how I thought of the game. Took me a few days to get used to, but became really fun after that. Now its one of my favorite games in the series. Its one of those games where you just need to get through the initial phase.
Once you start powering up, its a lot more fun. As far as power goes, a powered up Cloud's sword (buster sword in Japan, not sure its name in the US) is the best (until you enter hard mode). Maxed out its attack goes to 3000, I think.
Not a bad idea. You'll find the second run much easier now that you know where things are. When you do get to HARD mode, there are quite a few weapons for sale that aren't in normal.
His only problem is having enough attack power. He does stay down, but for a limited time. If you don't kill him within that frame, he flies away again. lol
Oh, I agree its best not to read any strategy guides. I had a hell of a time with that boss, but after messing around and experimenting, I...
Well, I think its a ton of fun and that won't change. Thank you Square Enix for deciding to make this game! It was well worth my money :) :) :) I know many people who feel the same way.
And PLEASE include Lightning in 15. Even for a cameo. One of my favorite characters of the last 10 years.
Yup, those two :)
The weird thing at the end of the dungeon is very strong, but there is a VERY easy way to beat him that I discovered, even if you have low stats. I won't say here, but if you mess around he can be beat!
Aironite on the other hand was a nightmare to beat my first run. I...
I've been playing this game too long... I can now kill Caius in under 5 seconds...lol My stats are REAL close to 9999.
I kinda want to play from the beginning again without keeping my stats. I do remember him being a crazy pain the butt though. Exactly what I like to see in a boss! :)
I too dig Caius's sword. Great design!
The reason I think that leveling up the way they chose works, is because it fits with the story. Lightning is already powerful from the previous installments. Having her go back to square-one wouldn't make sense story-wise. She is also racing against the...
Well I'll get back on topic:
- Loved the fighting system. Bit of a learning curve, but I like things like perfect blocks, timed hits etc.
- The story worked for me. Some of it was corny here and there, and some of the side quest stories were weak. Overall though, it was Lightning's personal...
