Im up to the part where the shinra boat has just left junon harbour, and im on the boat. and i cant get to the front of the boat to talk to barrett cos theres a guy in the way and i cant seem to get past him, any help? :S

yeah you're right, the only time you dont cause a battle scene is when the blue light isnt flashing, if you step when the blue light flashes you instantly start a battle, and a lot of those battles are ed dragons >.< i found the most annoying thing in FFVIII was the bosses and monsters lvling...

hey guys, i just got this game today, i found it for $20. just curious, about the play time. how many hours will it take to complete. also i havnt played ffvii, although i do own it. would it be wise to finish ffvii before playing doc or isnt it too important. cheers

i got just the storyline espers. As i found them useless -_- i mean by the time you get belias, its like 20hours into the game. and by the time you get mateus its like 40 hours, so they F'ed it up imho. like in ffx,ffviii you get gf and aeons quite early in the game and you could utilise them...

i use walkthroughs on my first run. They havnt contained spoilers for me, i often dont do a 2nd run through for a year or so. so i like to do it right the first time round :)

That's the sandsea :P when your on your way to raithwalls tomb. My highest is also in this area i got to about 150 or so, they drop lots of phoenix downs and teleport stones, so that was good :)

How on earth do you get big quickening chains? I get like 5 or 6, it's annoying. Does it depend on your MP, like if your level 25 and only have 90 MP does that restrict the amount of times that character can use one? any tips would be much appreciated ^_^

its meant to be there, its a side quest for the rarest card in the game, called pupu who is an alien. you have to do a fair bit of crap to get it though. I never did.
