I need to find this woman in the Calm Lands in order to reach the Remiem temple. She's not where my guide says she is though, and I can't find her anywhere in the Calm Lands, even on repeat visits. Any ideas?
If it makes any difference, I have the airship and access to the final bosses.
It's the storyline that makes the game great for me. No matter how many times I play it, I always find myself figuring out new tidbits of info I didn't get the previous time I played, or realising new theories concerning sub-plots. It's such a rich game for the PS1 era.
I've pretty much done everything there is to do apart from beat Emerald and Ruby Weapon, which I found too hard. I even got all the characters up to level 99.
I first played the game in February 2000. It was my first FF adventure and my lack of experience showed. I was stuck for a long time in the Shinra building, and when I finally left Midgar I gave up and started again once I'd reached about the 29hr stage. I just hadn't taken much time to build up...
Regarding the original comments about people fearing they will lose interest in their 20's...
I'm 26 now, and although you never lose the love of playing video games, you do get much less time to play as you get older because of work and various other commitments. I hammered FF games to death...
From the little I've played of FF2 so far, it still looks more enjoyable than FF1. However, does the latter's originality make it better than the 8-bit sequals that followed? It's all subjective, although I fail to see how something on the scale of FF X-2 could be classed a worse game than FF2.
I always used Mideel when levelling up at the end. Even when I had all the characters at level 99 I couldn't beat Ruby though. By the time I had everyone at 99 I'd run out of the necessary energy to work out my tactics. I'd just had enough, period.
I first played it in 2004 (I think) on the PSX re-release. It seemed a poor game compared to what I was used to, but I did enjoy seeing the series roots and the little references to later games. Completing the game was hard and I didn't enjoy it, I'll be honest. I just wanted to complete it to...
I loved the original game on the Master System but I never went on to play any of the others. The original was a wonderful game, better even than some of the earlier Final Fantasy titles.
I love the Silent Hill series but I haven't played any of the games for quite a while now. I finished 1 and 2, but got tired of 3 before I reached the end. Reviews of the 4th put me off buying it.
