Currently watching the finale of Doctor Who, series four. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaleks! Exterminate! Exterminate!
I think this'll be the last day of my epic Doctor Who marathon.
I thought it was SO amazing, I'm loving how Dreamworks and Pixar just seem to love to top each other :D
I was enraptured the entire way through; I laughed, I cried and I walked out of the cinema feeling a little stunned at its awesomeness. My BF didn't entirely agree, so then we had a massive...
I've actually spent this entire week introducing myself to Dr. Who, something I've been meaning to do for ages (I'm actually a massive Trekkie). And whoa, I'm hooked on it. Blink is definitely my favourite episode though, it was so well done, and I'm looking forward to seeing if the new doctor...
I remember reading Wizard and Glass in about a day, I was so feverishly into it. Love love LOVE that book! Wolves of the Calla was pretty creepy from what I remember, it's been a while since I read any Dark Tower. I think I've just been inspired to get back into them ;)
I'm currently playing Dragon Age Origins, and I'm having serious withdrawls because I'm on holiday for a week = no xbox :(
I even started with a dalish elf and found the origin story kinda boring, but played almost to the end with that character before switching to a human noble...and I've...
I hope I remember how to not spam, I used to post on some forums quite alot, but that would be roughly....oh, five or six years ago XD
I've just been having a look around since I posted this thread, and this forum looks great :)
It's all coming back to me ;)
I don't agree, I think some of his latest stuff far exceeds some of his earlier novels, but admittedly by boyfriend and I do argue over this often :) For example, Thud! is one of my favourite watch books.
Someone already said this, so I'd like to second it, the city watch books are SO great. I...
I've read most of them, my favourite by far being Rise of the Horde. The War of the Ancients was great, I learnt so much more story than I'd gotten from the online game. I didn't have a background in the PC games, I just started straight on WoW, so I love getting backstory from the novels. I...
My favourite genre is sci-fi/fantasy, and Terry Pratchett is my go to guy. His discworld series makes me laugh even if I've already read the book ten times. Which I have, some of them. My particular favourites are the watch books, and I seriously hope they find a cure for Alzheimer's soon...
I really love Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, it's even better than the movie and insanely well written. It's full of sciencey stuff that you don't have to be a genius to understand and it has dinosaurs. 'Nuff said.
Such an amazing series, it had me hooked after a few chapters. Eagerly awaiting A Dance With Dragons, if it EVER comes out...
I'm currently reading Thus spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche at a friend's insistence that it would do me some good. It's very deep, obviously, for a philosphical work...
