Main Characters in order of preference!

Ok basically what order are your favourite "main characters" in - by main characters i mean the ones you control

Please dont flame anyone if they put your favourite main character low - as thats pointless and stupid and will only lead to you getting flamed for flaming - if that makes sense?

ill start off :

1. Cloud - Number 1 because he pwns
2. Zidane - becauses hes none emo
3. Celes/Terra - these girls are no damsels in distress
4. Cecil - his storyline - darknight to paladin thing was a breath of fresh air.
5. Tidus - up to the bad part now - he whined too much
6. Vaan - Havnt been with him long enough - runs too slow
7. Squall - Hate him he annoys me tremedoulsly.
8. Yuna (X-2) - Self-explanotary XD

There are 8 main characters to rank in your own prefered order - i put terra/celes as terra is the default character in the WoB and Celes is the default haracter in the WoR

#1: Zidane
Zidane is completely aware of who he is. He only has one mental breakdown throughout the entire game, at which point, his friends are there to coax him into the right direction...
Always on his toes, friendly, flirtacious, always the one to come up with brilliant ideas in life-threatening situations, and best of all; a great leader and friend.

#2: Cloud
Regardless of his identity crisis, Cloud is still a top notch lead man. He's always the one giving orders. He even side steps Barret 99% of the time!
Cloud knows what's up; there's no denying it. He has his facts straight when it comes to Shinra and Sephiroth, and he's always understanding of the crisis at hand. Cloud's usually on his toes in fast-paced situations, and he's usually quick to think of a way out...

#3: Vaan
I could actually argue that Vaan is not the main character of FFXII, though...his attitude was very likeable. Vaan actually has relatively no influence on the plot...the story is mearly told through his eyes...
He's very relaxed, never jumps to any wild, ridiculous conclusions, and he seemingly appreciates the fact that he's persuing his dream; with no questions asked. =]

#4: Tidus
I'm not a huge Tidus fan, but I'm willing to admit that he was very outgoing. His actions are actually a little rash and he rarely considers the concequences, however...he's always looking out for his friends. I have to hand it to him for killing his own father...





And the WORST Final Fantasy leader award goes to:
Squall Leonheart.

Squall is by far THE worst FF lead man I've ever seen.


Reason 1:
He's self centered, cold natured, bitter and doesn't care about anything.
Examples:

"Don't you ever worry about or even think about the well-being of your
comrades!?"

(I don't believe in relying on others.)

No, that's not even the LOT of it...He says "whatever" more times than I can account for!!!


Reason 2:
He's unsure of his own thoughts.
Remember discs 1-2 when Squall absolutely detested Rinoa? Like...he was annoyed by her mere bubblefart, full of random ideas, giddy personality...Remember?
Well somewhere between the span of: the end of disc two and the beginning of disc three...he developes a SURGE of random emotions towards her...


Reason 3:
Irrational nature.
Example:
Randomly deciding to break into Esthar's sorceress memorial just moments after rejecting Rinoa's obvious attempt to arouse him by sitting in his lap and then allowing her to be taken into custody...
Example:
Actually going through with his randomly whimsical plan to break into Esthar's sorceress memorial.


Reason 4:
He loves being told what to do.
Does Squall ever come up with his own logical plans? I mean...I know it was his dumb idea to break into the memorial and rescue the girl he just fell in love with, but...for the most part, are any of the "good plans" really credible to Squall?
He's always acting on what others tell him to do. Don't give me any smutt "it's his job to follow orders"...no, it's not. He takes orders from Cid, and that's it...For the most part, he's always doing what Quistis tells him to do. It's always someone else's heroic idea to follow through with great plans.
And whenever Cid does give him an order, he strays from his directions...

 

[Rydia]

1. Cecil- I loved his story the best choosing to become a paladin instead of remaining a dark knight.

2. Zidane-Very out going and very funny. A nice change after Squall and Cloud

3. Terra- I just love her. She's a lot like me. And her green hair is cool.

4. Tidus- I really liked him. He reminds me of the kind of guys I tend to date.
(No one make fun! )

5. Cloud- He was a badass and he was cool.

6. Squall- Liked him cause I like assholish characters.

7. Bartz- Didn't hate him he just wasn't as interesting as the others.

8. X-2 Yuna (give me back my X Yuna!)

Haven't played enough of III to put Luneth anywhere yet.

Similar, just flip-flopping 1 and 3 around. I think the top 3 are way high up though, and there is a huge gap between Cloud at 3, and Bartz at 4. It's not even close.
