Everytime I play FFVII, Aeris's death definently makes me want to go out and start knifing every random person I see.

My brother is 13 and i buy him GTA, God of War etc...only because he doesn't want/ play Nintendo games or kid friendly games. I don't care if he plays violent games because it doesn't really effect his personality much, i would happily buy it for him because my parents could give a monkeys about us let alone playing VG...BUT i would never get him a game which endorses sexual content, because young people being exposed to sex is worse than violence. In my opinion anyway.

it is totally fictional, the people who had commited those crimes must have been looneys, no sane person would go out and hit people with swords and do little dances when they have killed them.

if final fantasy is violent i'd be a criminal now... having played games such as counter strike and battlefield, which are a lot more violent then FF, mainly since there actual guns and bazooka's are used, in FF they use swords but no blood is to be seen, not even on persons, no body parts flying around

FF brings up arts... not violence...

Oh HA HA. That is so stupid.

Final Fantasy is NOT that violent. I've seen so much worse. For instance, I've played Red Faction. You blow somebody up, there can be blood stains on the floor or walls. Walls crumble, people die and yell. That's pretty tame. I can't remember a games name, but it's about beating/killing people out of their cars and stealing them, running people over, etc. So many shooter and hack/slash games, and there they are freaking out over FF? Man, the worst violent scene I can think of from FF is Aerith dying, but like somebody said before, NO BLOOD.

Now, Final Fantasy violent? Gimme time and I'll think of alot worse.

Its silly

I think its really silly that people commit crimes and then blame them on "games warping their mind"
really bugs me that you can let something that someone enjoys take the blame for their stupidity
:shame: >_<

IMO it depends on the individual, not the product, be it computer game, movie or CD. Every entertainment item comes with an age rating and what it contains and its up to the individual to buy it or not.

I hate it when parents kick off about games like GTA make kids become violent. Ive played GTA nad I didnt become violent, plus its an 18 game, the parents should know better!
