I keep hearing about "tournaments" on this board. What exactly is this about? Do you all live in the same area, or something?

the tournaments are done online over ad hoc, which you can get if you have a ps3

See, this is something I hate seeing.
Ad-hoc means playing with people that have DFF and are in ten meter range.
Ad-hoc Party means playing with people online via a PS3 and the AHP program.
XLink Kai means playing with people online via a computer, the XLink Kai program and a WiFi USB Adapter.
Anyway.
DissidiaForums has hosted three tournaments (and is currently hosting one) over Ad-Hoc Party. It has also hosted a XLink Kai tournament and is currently hosting another one as well. So yeah. If you want DFF tourneys, you know where to go.
There have been several other tourneys hosted on other sites like GameFAQs and the like, but GameFAQs sucks and we all know that

Wait, I heard that it can't be used with a computer.
Also, I probably wouldn't get into the tournaments. I mean, maybe I'd indulge occasionally, but overall, I'm more interested in individual matches.
Also, I felt even more retarded when, just before getting an answer, I realized that I had been looking for information on the tournaments in the wrong section of that Dissidia forum, & that's why I didn't know what was going on.
