Here's my story. i'm at the final castle.. got a lot of the GFs. that painting part was stupid because it was impossible so I had to look it up online to get it.

I killed so many of those enemies, stole GFs I never got before.. got draw, magic, gf, limit break.. and then after i loaded my disc, and the 4-5 backups... ALL data was damaged.

With the exception of one of them which is the castle where I only have Attack/GF.. 3 hours back! so pissed off..

---

I went to Ultimecia... I was lucky to use Zell's limit break and beat her 24000 HP.. then she brought in Griever.. who killed my party

He used his super move which took out 7-8000 HP. Impossible.. how on earth do you beat him?

At the commencement room, is there a way to go back so I can get anything I missed and stock up..

What are your tips?

And how would you recommend beating griever

How do you only have Attack/GF?

Please put a bit more effort in your posts in the future, thank you.

If you don't have 9999 HP by this point, you're going to be in a lot of trouble. Even if you get past Griever, the final form of Ultimecia has very strong attacks as well.

What are your stats/levels and whatnot? You might need to switch some junctions around to make sure you can survive.

I just spammed Lionheart. It wins fights quite a bit. 9999 HP is good, but not needed that much. Shockwave Pusar deals about 8500 HP damage, give or take, so you do need a good amount over that and some curaga and Cerebus. Just spam Lionheart, if you have it or go to the island of Heaven and Hell and get Aura, and spam Limit Breaks. Give some updates on where exactly he gets you. And remember, he is just the beginning.

I asked that question to see if it was a "restriction run" he was doing or something. If it was then the strategy I gave him would have to be different then the one I would normally give him. I'm sorry I should have said "why" not "how" and I guess I should have explained in that post why it was important. I will go back and edit it.

Which is you should have at least 3 regular abilities junctioned to each player in your party, and that you may need to draw more powerful magics before hand to boost your stats.
Ultimecia and Griever, and ultimecia's final form level up with your party like the rest of the creatures in the game(except omega weapone I think is always lvl100) so leveling up isn't a good strategy. Junctioning properly is much better.

i had like 2-3000 HP.. and after beating ultimecia, griever did his super hit and killed everyone. I'm now trying to build up all my parties but it's so time consuming.

I'm trying to junction some auras, full lifes, ultimas.. hard to find sometimes.

it is annoyign that the bosses level up with your party. is it good to just use auto junctions?

I have squall up to lvl 62 now and two others (zell/selphie) at 42.

I had to cheat and go online to get the remaining GFs and Enemies in the castle....

9999 HP is indeed very recommended. Just cast Meltdown on Griever and then spam Lionheart and Tripled Meteors. That worked for me at least. When you have trained your stats high enough (Str for Squall en Mag for the caster), Griever will use Shockwave Pulsar after the first round and die in the second round.

Also, since you won't need your magic/items/stuff anymore after the final battle, this is a nice moment to use all your carefully stocked hero's, holy wars, meteors, aura's, everything! (But you won't need to if you use triple meteor + lionheart tactic.)

i dont have a lionheart...

now, here's my second time playing. I reached the fourth and final stage.

I used Zell's limit breaks and killed the first three: 23,800 HP first, 100,000 HP second and 100,000 HP third.

I don't have any elixirs! I only have two megaelixirs and found myself having to really curagra everyone.

The final ultimecia is impossible. I used Zell's limit break like 8 times. I have 7 heros (to make them temporarily invincible) and 12 auras (maxed out). I need more auras and megaelixirs. Can i buy elixirs?

I hit final Ultimecia 420,000 HP (i had my friend use a calculator for every hit)

She kills all my GFs.

My zell is lvl 44 ish, squall 65

I let the other 3 people have nothing. so they die fast.. is that a good strategy? or would you put a GF on each of them, so they have power.

some cool ideas

Can't you draw a special spell called Apocalypse from the final battle?

Anyways if you have any cards and the ability to modify them into items, do so. Its time to pull out the big guns and get high powered stuff. Use everything. Aura squall and Zell and have them use limit breaks while the other character cures. Spamming ultimas and meteors is good. Like said use everything.

Yeah supposedly you can draw Apocalypse from the bottom half of Ultamecia's final form. I've never done it myself, I've only heard of it. I guess if you can stock and then triple that would definitely help.

Your best option is to level and junction magic to up your stats. Leaving the castle and traveling to the islands closest to heaven and hell, wander around and draw from the world map draw points is a good way to do it. From the last time I played, I remember doing this and just unleashing squalls and zells limit breaks.

i read about drawing apocalypse, but i forgot and couldn't do it because i was too busy curing and finding other ways to attack.

I ended up beating all four - griever 2 levels and ultimecia 2 levels..

I used some meteors, ultimas, but the main attack was Zell's limit break - Duel - which I love because they give you a time limit to attack as many times as you possibly could.

So when they give me 12 seconds, I was hitting 2,500 HP every tenth of a second. Sometimes, my fingers would stumble and 1.00 second would pass, and that'd be a waste

I'dhave to use x + o, then right + left repeatedly everytime the time goes down. I can often have a 2,500-5,000 HP hit ever 0.05 - 0.20 seconds. Add all that up in a 12 second timeframe, and that's the amount of HP i can take out from Ultimecia in one Zell Limit Break.

Now, I used it like 6-7 times. that's what led me to win
