Is there any sort of story-mode for the villains?

Hello All. I’m bored at work now and registered on this forum to kill time and talk about this fine game (I work as a translator for a city office in Japan but there’s no work for me today).

I bought the game the day it came out, and I’ve been taking it relatively slowly (I’m on Shade Impulse 3). I really like the game, though I can’t say much for the story (for those who don’t speak Japanese, trust me, you’re not missing anything. It’s just an excuse to throw all the characters together). I like the depictions of most of the characters (Kefka’s voice and dialogue is awesome), but Terra/Tina rubs me the wrong way; she’s just so mousy and afraid (In FFVI she seemed at least a bit more courageous), though she is crazy powerful (I always end up doing way more damage with her than the other characters, especially with EX mode).

Anyway, I have a few questions for those of you who have played through the game: Are the villains simply bonus characters for vs mode, or do you get any chance to play as them as part of the story? I unlocked all the villains but never played as any of them yet. Also, do are their fighting styles unique or are they variations of the heroes’ fighting styles?

Ummm actually yeah After you beat Chaos you get distant glory. It has 2 parts one for shantotto and one for gabranth. Yes you can take the villians but they do not really talk. Oh and the last story is inward Chaos and Its freakin hard.

If only I played XII I’d care about Gabranth. I am excited to use shantotto though because I like the voice actor (who’s in too many animes to count, but notably Lina from Slayers, Female Ranma, and Faye from Cowboy Bebop (I’m assuming many of the people on this forum are also anime fans)).

yeah, i care the most about Tidus, Squall and CLoud... Don't want to play Japan version, i'll wait for Europe realese and play fully Voice acting!!

yes you can only use villains at destiny glory (2 parts) its easy to finish so goodluck hope you finish this part desu! have a nice day

Who knows maybe they will make another spin off game of dissidia with only the villains ? if dissidia does very well in the USA i bet they might do that they even made a game for the bad guys on KH on hand held's why not Dissidia ?
