Ruby GLITCH?!

just like it sounds. my last playthrough of FFVII was the one where I did everything. leveled my guys to max. got all limits. got all materia. beat all weapons....

except Ruby. So after i got omnislash (last non weapon related thing to do) i went underwater and defeated emerald weapon. it was awesome. so then i get back into my airship and head over to ruby. only to find...nothing. the little red guy moving around the desert was no where to be found.

has this every happened to you guys? did i do something wrong or did he just glitch out?
 
That's a common glitch. Just save and reset the game and it should be there. If not reset again.

thanks for the advice. i haven't touched the file in a few years though, so i'm not sure if i've already done that or not.

anyways, i don't want to turn this into a "help" thread. my original questions still stand. has this ever happened to you guys? and if so, what's the story?
 
Ah, that I didn't know. Might have beaten it then. Thought it was a recent file. Happened to me a few times. I've also landed on emerald a few times the moment I dived in the sub.

Please bear that in mind ^^

If Ive not seen Ruby, Ive never really noticed whether Ruby has been there or not until I need to fight him, and he's been there. My first reaction would be to go into a town and see if that worked, then reset the game, then lose my temper....
 
Nah don't loose your tember just hope on a gold chicken thing and have it pec at the ground till you get it to surfece.
 
it kinda happened 2 me xcept it was emerald i tried 2 battle it and it won't o_O i kept hitting it with the submarine for like 5 minutes *i guess* won't budge T_T
 
Well its never happened to me. Resetting the game or entering a town like others have suggested seems a good idea. Failing that. Try a different approach. If you have more than 1 saved game (and you really should) try going to Ruby before Emerald or try going on a Chocabo rather than by air.
 
It's never happened to me. He's always been there making me panic because I just find it scary this evil thing is in the sand! (Although Emerald scares me more just for the fact that he is in water and I can't stand being in water with enemies on a game).

Anyway,that is a very weird glitch. Maybe it had something to do with you beating Emerald before Ruby? I've never done it in that order so I'll have to try that next time I play through and see if it happens. ^_^
