Favorite Mistranslation

Final Fantasy VII was filled with mistranslations. Does anyone have a favorite? Mine.. I guess is odd.

It is when you get Vincent, and he says "As a former turks..."

I guess this is just a way to kind of compile the list of mistranslations and be able to discuss them. Sounds like fun to me!

There was something that Bugenhagen said that sounded pretty weird (it was just spelt wrong), I can't remember what it was though.

Though there's a good one in the Battle Square in the Gold Saucer, when between fights it asks if you want to continue. The choices are "No way!" and "Off course!".

My favorite would have to be Aerith in the Temple of the Ancients when she looks at Tifa and goes "right, Cloud?"

I know Barret said something weird as well when the party was all gathered around the campfire at Cosmo Canyon, but I can't remember what it was

lol this thread made me laugh. I remember the "this guy are sick" when i first played it as a kid.

but is this the worst translated game in the series?

I think "This guy are sick" is my favourite mistranslation, it's the first one that comes to mind anyhoo. I don't think it's the worst translated game in the series though. FFVI takes that crown.

Umm.. in terms of botching up things and horrid grammer, I think VII is the winner. As far as "What the hell? Is this the same game? We need to kick someone for the horrid job. Aren't they supposed to KNOW Japanese to be a translator?"- Final Fantasy VI definatley wins that race.

I always liked Aerith's line "This guy are sick." In all honesty I had not noticed the "Beacause" thing... But that made me rofl to.
