Hi, I'm new here and just thought I'd introduce myself. I've played every Final Fantasy from 7 up several times apiece. XD The one I haven't finished is FFXII and I never played FFXI because it's an online game. Anyway, I just came here for some help and to meet cool, new people. Hope to see you out there. ^_^

You need to play IV and VI, and have you played Tactics on the PSone (or PSP)? That's definitely one of the best FFs out there as far as story and characters go. You don't need to bother finishing XII, the ending will only make you feel disappointed and ripped off.

So what's your favorite FF of the Playstation era?

Yeah, I need to play the older ones. I played the original and Mystic Quest... and the one for the gameboy but I hated that one XD never got too far.

YEah I played Tactics but at the time it was too strategic for my liking. Maybe if I try it again I'll like it better now that I'm older.

My favourite?? That's a toughie..... I like VII-X but I think I like X best just because I feel most connected with those characters. What about you?
 
For gameboy? Do you mean one of the FF Legends games? Those were actually Sa-Ga games...I don't know why they called them FF in the US, probably marketing reasons.

I like the strategic element of Tactics...I did not like the difficulty, the only reason I kept playing and beat it was because the story was so engrossing. X is one of my favorites, I don't care for the characters much but I like the story and gameplay alot. IX and Tactics are my other two favorites :neomon:
 
...Don't bother listening to Rockman, finish FFXII and see for yourself what you think about it.

Yeah, IX rocked too, then again I'm in love with ever game VII-X. I LOVE the characters in X, I think that's what made it appeal to me so much: my connection to the characters. The ending still makes me cry everytime.... it's the main reason I play X-2 despite all the girly ditsy blonde stuff in that one XD.

@John: Oh don't worry, I have no intention of quitting once I've started. I never listen to hype, I like to see things for myself.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'm not sure what threads are a good place to start at but I'll have a browse around. ^_^
