Sphere Grid tips.

So, I'm out of school in 2 weeks, and I thought. "Hey, I should start that new file on FFX where my characters don't suck once I'm off!"

Since I hate dphere grid so much, any tips on making it less painful and where to get spheres and the like?
 
First off I'd recommend sing the expert grid, it gives you alot more freedom and you don't come up agains as many bloody locks

Getting spheres isn't all that hard really, just use the relevant distiller for the spheres you want when you start running out.

It's probably later on in the game when you will start running out of them really. But I'd definaetly say go for the expert grid. It's not hard it's just bigger :monster:

Edit* Apart from the fact that the standard grid pretty much forces your characters down a certain path each, but I find the expert one gives you abit more freedom and at first you might want to plan your moves a little bit more but on the whole it's ALOT easier to work with

I hated the standard grid so much I gave up on my file when I got to Sin because I just didn't feel like I was getting anywhere. Stupid STUIPID locks -_-
 
I'd go with Bam on this one. Definetly go for the Expert Grid, If Kamahri is one as your favorite charaters and your using standared its a pain because of all the locks -_-.

As for gettting spheres you can get abilitys such as Extract Speed, Ability ect. that who ever you hit with it you will get that sphere. I highly recommend getting alot of ability spheres at the start, because at times you'll have no ability spheres and be stuck on 1 node waiting for a ability sphere!
 
Oh I have no idea, I thought we all got the standard and expert grids to choose from when yu first start a new file .....you can't change it mid game though
 
If you don't have the PAL version (International) then you have to play it on Standard. This sphere grid has more spheres but you'll have a harder time with the main storyline bosses rather than the Dark Aeons.

The best way to get spheres would be to continue with the game until you reach the Monster Arena, then buy the items that allow you to get more spheres at the end of the battle. Unlock the Ogre monster (Can't remember how) then use that item on him. You should get 30 spheres every time you beat him.

You shouldn't need an ample amount of spheres until that point, because the bosses are easy up until the Monster Arena.
