Noone really knows yet, it's thought to be released sometime this year in Japan though, but who knows about America and Europe. I'd say late 2008 / early 2009 would be a realistic release date.

That first date you posted - that's the same date as the alleged release of "Starcraft II" for the PC, which is nowhere near ready to be released yet. I suspect that they simply do that to show that they will be providing the products - and the dates are simply periodic dates, during which, they receive/release new products.

I've heard that XIII could be released in December 2008 in Japan and then America/Europe in 2009. I'm not sure if its true but it sounds realistic.

on gamestop it says 12/1/08 for xiii and 12/13/08 for versus xiii. seems reasonable for them to release it close to christmas

Bah pbbt gimme a break it was supposed to come out a few months ago.

Just like how Advent Children was supposed to come out on July 10, 2006 on my birthday and didn't come out till like a yearishy later in North America.

There's so many games out there - not just with S-E, but other games too that we're waiting for:

Diablo III (There was an article I read a while ago on their site where they're looking for (can't remember the position) for (something) for an un-named project or something like that...Diablo III anyone?
Starcraft II as was mentioned
All the Final Fantasy XIII's
Halo Wars
Metal Gear Solid 4
Spore
Untitled Square Enix MMORPG (See Gamespot)

Shall I continue?

You can't always trust Gamestop dates you know. There isn't an American release date yet. Hell, I don't even know if the XIII Japan release date is actually official.

Diablo III (There was an article I read a while ago on their site where they're looking for (can't remember the position) for (something) for an un-named project or something like that...Diablo III anyone?

Actually, Diablo III is Hellgate: London. It's not called Diablo III because the developers of Diablo I and II left Blizzard to start their own company. They couldn't call it Diablo III for copyrights. =P
