What did you think of the voice acting for Kingdom hearts II? I have not played the Japanese version so I wouldn't know, but I have heard clips and so far so good. But the English version was great, the voices really did suit the characters perfectly in my opinion. I found Sora's older voice to be much more fitting than his younger (though that is the point) but his voice bugged me when he was younger. I also loved the voice actors for the Organization, they really did a great job. I expecially liked Demyx, Axel and Xigbar's voice actors. They all did great jobs capturing their given characters personalities.

The surfer dude accent put upon Xigbar was total perfection and Demyx's voice really gave the impression of someone sweet and innocent, but deadly at the same time (kinda like kove from Lion King). I was also impressed with Axel's voice actor. Flynn did a great job capturing his mixed personalities =D

So what did y'all think of 'em?
 
Everyone except Aerith sounded exemplary.

Though, in truth, I was amused to find that Xemnas was the same dude acting Yuan Shao in Dynasty Warriors.
 
Not for one who has fought that pompous eejit 99999999 times.

Not that he did a bad job transferring from pompous eejit to evil o'erlord. I was very impressed indeed.

This game was class A in all aspects, including voices. Aerith, Leon and Xehanort were all big let downs, however. Aerith sounded like a cheerleader who lost her oomf, Leon just wasn't the same (I was used to Boroneaz) and Xehanort was ... bring back Billy Zane!

Everything else, though, was unimaginably perfect.

OMG that's exactly how they sounded (and I'm not being sarcastic... the only problem is that I don't know who Billy Zane is but I really doubt that that is a problem...
 
I loved the voice acting in this game...it so much more developed and fitting than in some of the other games (*looks at Vaan*) I have no gripes about the voice acting in this game.
 
Well, I guess they were pretty great in comparison to many other games, however compared to the first game, KHII's were a little less impressive.

At first, I totally rolled my eyes at KHI for its "all-star voice acting" cast, but I kinda missed it for the second one. The voices were good, but I thought the ones used for the first were more fitting.

But the only one I can say I hated from KHII was the change of VAs with Aerith. I could not stand her English VA for II at all. I really thought that Mandy Moore did a great job in the first one, and with the second game in mind, I think she did a stellar job.
