I'm not a big animal rights supporter, and I'm not a vegetarian, and L'm most certainly not one of those hardcore PETA people. I've even mocked people who were complaining about the seal butchering thing in Canada and Norway (or where-ever), but I draw the line somewhere.

I support animal testing for the likes of medicine, and I condone humane youthanising (not killing) animals for food, because these things are necessities, and we need them.

But what about nice fancy clothes? Certainly they come from animals humanely killed...right?

Wrong.

Killing the animal is just simply to messy, and it will get blood all over that future jacket. So what is the best way to keep it clean, you ask? Simple! You take it from the animal while its still alive! Just club it to the head a few times, and slam in on the ground to soften it up, then hook it up and begin skinning! sure, the animal squirms and trys to get away, but wheres it going to run? It's got half its torso hanging off.

Ok, so im going to get to the point.

Do NOT watch this video if you don't want to see racoons being thrown around like rag dolls, skinned alive, and thrown away. Do NOT watch this video if you don't want to see dogs get beaten, stomped on, and once again, skinned alive, and have their still breathing, skinless bodies left in the exposure of the heat, sun, and sand.

On second though, you NEED to watch this video. I don't care if you get queezy. People need to know whats happening in asian countries, just so you can get some nice clothes.

So, heres the video:

I will go on and say that these people have left the "human" catagorization. They've gone straight down to nothing, and they should be treated like such. They should be skinned alive and hung for the world to see.

I would love to see these people skinned, but not with careful precision, let's have the work done by someone who has never used a knife before...what about their own offspring? Yeah! Forcefully skinned by your 4 year old daughter as she cries, what a thought. But you should keep their eyes intact, so they can have a constant view in a mirror, just so they can see how ugly and utterly repulsive they are. Yes, I would just love to see their facial tendons slowly oozing puss as they scream for Death.

But Death wouldn't go to them...only crows and flies.

I will only be happy when I see a spider create a humble abode in the exposed jaw muscles of the skinless bastard, only to lay it's eggs. That way the man can have a nice slow and happily painful death.

Erm no, that's a stupid way to kill an animal. Most animals killed for food or clothing are killed by electric stun. No damage to the pelt.

If we are talking about game, then a single round will generally kill the animal with minimum damage to the pelt and certainly would leave the meat available for consumption.

My morals are clear cut. Whether right or wrong, I would never wear furs or leathers from an animal killed expressly for that purpose. It's not necessary in this day and age. I do eat meat, but I make sure I buy from a local farmers market. That means I know exactly where the animals came from, that they were fed organically and that they had a quality of life. It costs a lot more than buying supermarket meat but believe me, it tastes infinately better.

Personally, I am more worried about the US allowing tourists to shoot Alaskan wolves from helicopters to show how manly they are. Call me wierd.

Aren't you a happy bundle of love.

"NO KILLING ANIMALS :( BUT BURN SKIN MAIM TORTURE EVERY HUMAN I SEE WHO I DON'T LIKE OR DOES BAD THINGS"

Bit too much of a right-wing attitude for my liking.

Ugh ...

I'm really not sure what to say here. I'm the kind of person who'd much rather pay donations to an animal protection society than anything for third-world countries. I don't know, I just seem to care much more for the animals. They have to endure nothing but opression. I actually called out when I saw the, for lack of a better word, 'man,' standing on that mammals head after ripping its skin from its body. The dog, too ... I'm truly lost as to how people can be so blind to the blatent pain and suffering these animals are going through. There's no point in me going into a rant on how animals are alive, too ... I trust most people here would disaprove of this.

The lengths people will go to for a back-hander these days is ridiculously long. Actually, on this note, my village was put on an unofficial alert, because it was rumoured that pit-bull trainers were snatching local pets and hanging them, training the dogs to kill them as they hang.

There's just no need for acts like this anymore. Prosthetic furs are often exactly the same, if not better, and are, more-often-than-not, much less expensive. With the increasing number of charities and support/anti-violence groups these days, it's simply impossible to be oblivious to the law now. The only factor left for these people, really, is Morality ... or rather, lack of it. What can you do to people like this? How can you rehabilitate savages?

This makes me want to work for some kind of animal support agency all the more, now.

killing the people who do this solves nothing am i right.. the truth is still there that animals are dieing like this killing a human like that means nothing

I'm going to leave this open, but I'm starting to notice some of the posts are getting very broad and sorta spammy and getting a little off topic. This part of the forum is more serious therefore the rules are more strict.

I do not think any kind of animal deserves to be tortured. There are more humane ways to at least cleanly kill an animal even though I am against killing animals for fur coats and such. It's more expensive but by giving them a fatal injection is a much easier and cleaner method instead of making an animal suffer

I think what they're doing is fine. Without even a second thought, most of you would probably agree this is NOT okay, however...

That's not what I mean exactly by saying its "fine". More than likely the people who end up doing these jobs are from some poor third world country out there and they gotta make a living somehow. The people are probably thinking:

"Oh hey! It's either me dying and starving in the streets along with my children and letting my children into prostitution and selling drugs for money, or this fox. Its either me or this stupid animal and I'd be damned if I die over some fox/racoon fur."

Then there comes a point where what if the man doing this is not exactly poor but since it makes good money, he is inclined to do it. Or perhaps he IS poor and this is the only thing standing between him and death (starvation, whatever). If this man is too poor to even feed himself, how can he even think about going out to buy some medicine to knock out the animal first? After all, its not like these men are filthy rich and doing the job in a Giorgio Armani suit. Then he could just be greedy and wants more profit and doesn't think about the medication for the animals twice.

Then there comes a point whether this man is even human to these effects. Maybe he is so used to this job, he feels distant and unaffected why as most of us are first-viewers would be shocked as this isn't something you'd see in a better-off country oh say, America? America alone consumes about 86% of the entire world goods that are produced. The measly 14% left is divided on whatever countries are left, sad isn't it? Some countries have a budget of $400 US dollars to spend for an entire year. Now you think about how well off the common people are in that country.

Sometimes a poor man's gotta do what he's gotta do to just get by. I'm not saying this is the true case in every case. But I have no doubt some of them do live in situations like that. Would you rather suck it up, go to work, do your job and skin these animals alive than make your wife a prostitute and perhaps even sending your own children to do that same sort of disgusting dirty work to make money? There aren't many choices when you're at the lowest social pit on earth.

Well then, that's... interesting. To be honest, I sorta' agree with Demaian on this. My only problem is that the guy didn't bother killing the poor thing first before skinning it.

But then again, the things humans do to their own people is even worse. Remember Rwanda?

Most people don't.

I've seen this video a while ago and I never want to see it again.

Demaian made a valid point. Still, the fact they are dolphins bothers me. I could care less if chickens and cows are being slaughtered for food but dolphins? They're considered to be one of the most intelligent animals alive. Dolphins are very friendly as well. :/

As what Bei Bei said, they should have at least killed them first instead of having them suffer through a painful death.

In my Freshman year at community college, in honors English we watched this documentary (for some reason we were doing film study...) of these two UBER hick brothers in New York state who lived on a farm, and at one point in the film it showed them slaughtering a pig.

They led it into the back of this broken down trailer, pinned it against a corner and one brother pulls out his shotgun. Rather than just shooting the pig in the head, he shoots the gun right BESIDE the pig's head so the poor thing just freaks out, then he slit it's throat and it was probably a full 10 seconds of blood streaming out of the pig's throat before it finally died. Needless to say we were all saying "what the fuck?!"

So killing animals in cruel ways isn't exclusive to Asia. I suppose really it's just that some people are way fucked up.

[RANT]This video sickens me. I couldn't even watch the whole thing. I didn't even make it past the first 45 seconds. There was no way I was gonna see that cute and furry little raccoon alive and without fur. People that wear fur coats and clothes like that sicken me. I once saw a video called Faces of Death. In this video there was a couple of segments that sickened me. One was of this little monkey that was held captive inside a table at a restaurant with only his head sticking out. Some customers grabbed some miniature mallets and started bashing the monkey in the head. The whole time they were hitting it, the monkey was screaming and turning round and round and screaming some more. They finally cracked open the skull and started eating the monkey's brain! The monkey finally died when the first chunk of its brain was cut off. There was another segment of a cat being skinned alive. This was in China. Some customers at a restaurant wanted to eat a cat. The chef picked out a random cat from a cage and threw it in a boiling pot of water. After about 30 seconds he took out the cat and started "petting" the fur right off of the cat's body. Then he cooked it and served it. It's videos like these and the one that Erythritol posted that make me ashamed that I am called human alongside people who do these kinds of things to animals. I'm not an animal lover....well maybe a little, but there is no reason to make an animal suffer through these horrors just so a human can have something exotic to eat or wear. My rant is over.[/RANT]
