Did anyone ever bother taking long looks at the Clan Primer to read everything that the sage or whoever else was saying?

It's pretty interesting to read the primer because:

+ it provides crucial details about the acquisition of materials required for making rare items, weapons, and other inventory items.

+ it provides great reads when you get bored (if possible)

+ gives great background on the more powerful foes of the game and how they came to be there

Add more, pl0x. :monster:

Also, I didn't like how many of the entries began with:

Being a dragon....

It defies my grammatical beliefs. >.<

Rofl. I actually did read the primer when I had gotten bored and whatnot. It came in handy sometimes.

You also have to kill so many if you want to get more info about that particular monster. It's acutally quite informing.

Oh, so that's what that number to the right does? >.<
I didn't know that, I thought it was what Busta said that you didn't get to fight any more of those monsters when you completed the numbers. :P

Anyways, yeah, it's great for curing boredom running across the vast plains and deserts of Ivalice. :P

I like to glance at what the title is and read what it's a about, if the topic interests me I'll go deeper in.

I love killing enough monsters to unlock the extra information, it's a great feeling.

I like how the extra info doesn't even have anything to do with the monster in question most of the time. xD
It's just a bunch of ramblings, informative ramblings mind you, about the world of Ivalice, but sometimes....it just gets too confusing. Sometimes I'll remember something I'd want to read about and then I'd forget which monster it was under so I'd give up.

What was up with the divisions of the monsters anyway? Sometimes a monster I'd never even encountered in say...'The Garamsythe Waterway' pops up in that section.

I couldn't be bothered to read any of them. And the monsters you haven't seen before but suddenly pop up are probably rare game :monster:

Lol… I always found myself going back and fourth reading it during hunts, and in times of boredom.

But like you’ve already said, I did enjoy the amount of detailed background information it provided and whatnot…

Some information actually was useful for finding rare items and how to get them. Also, it gives backstories as well. I rather it tell it in the actual game though.

I loved the clan primer, it was a major force in fleshing out the story. I often found myself taking long breaks to read it. The style in which it was written was also interesting to me. Ye Auld English has always been cool, in my opinion.

I have read bits of it but not in much detail. Half the time I just skip past it and read bits when I'm bored.

I read it alot because i like to read things that interest me (I know: a 17 year old who likes to read, it's strange) but it gave crucial information on the bazaar item ingredients and such like that.

I only ever read it when I was completely bored. It was strangely interesting...For some reason, I took interest to the espers second names such as Belias, "The Gigas" and Zeromus, "The Condemner"

Hint:
Remember Belias' second name "The Gigas" It will help just before Giruvegan

Awesome part of the game to track what you've done in your journeys. I have read through everything I've unlocked so far, and you learn tons about the who, what, where, and why's of Ivalice and everything involved.

I thought the Clan Primer was an awesome addition - it gave a lot of insight into the world. Problem is, they ought to have spent more time on the actual game plot.

The primer is something i'd like to see return in future games. It was something that kept you wanting to beat more enimies to obtain that extra info. Plus, the pirates den was a nice touch to have.
