Most Useless Character?

I agree. Just because a character is the weakest doesn't necessarily mean he/she is the most useless. There's a difference.

Garnet comes in handy in many situations, no matter how much people argue that her eidolons are weaker than Eiko's.
Same goes for Quina, who is actually quite strong if you develop him/her right.

Garnet has some of the lowest stats in the game, but most people always have her in their party. Amarant is a strong character, but he's useless for plenty of boss fights and stuff; even with his nifty abilities.

I'unno, if you spend the time to eat with Quina s/he can pick up some nifty abilities. Like Mighty Guard or White Wind.

I rarely ever used Eiko if I didn't have to. She was probably the most useless for me, probably because by the time I got here I had Garnet all nice and leveled.

Vivi's magic got sort of useless by the end of the game for me too, but he was helpful for most of it.

The reason why Quinas being voted the most useless is because s/he requires a lot of work to be decent. which many people just ignore since they can just use people like Zidane Steiner and Vivi and take off the heavy damage without having to do as much work.

And they actually don't like his/her.
I'm still saying that Amarant is the useless guy.

I think you guys all forget to put eiko in back row.

Eiko outclasses garnet by far and those who dont see that are just too much of a garnet-fan.

And Quina as a useless char? Please guys where's the common sense, Ozma becomes much easier with angel's snack and for other thing sjust read Gaia Branford's post. He seems to know where it's at!

Useless character is in no doubt Garnet for me.

Eiko or garnet but now that i have seen that garnet's summons aren't that good late on in he game i go with garnet with most useless

I'd say Quina. Not that s/he wouldn't be useful, but s/he's just so annoying I don't want to use him/her.

I voted for Eiko. I mean, two white mages/summoners? Even Quina's more useful than her. And she was annoying brat, sorry. :P

defenitly quina ameen wat the hell is s/he meant to be? it is terable in battle it is just a random character that likes to eat i mean come on! whats the point in it?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Freya for me. She always was just there for backup. She doesn't have a lot of strength, and her Jump doesn't do the kind of damage Kain's did in IV, otherwise I'd have probably have used her quite a bit. Also, her story wasn't all that engaging.

I chose Eiko coz she was pretty useless. You really only need one white mage (Garnet) and you really only need one summoner (again Garnet). The only use that I found for her was during the story (she was a bit funny)

She's not on the list, but i'm going to vote for Garnet. Much as i love her character, once you get Eiko she's completely useless since Eiko's spells are much better (but the summons for both of them are totally useless). I dont like Quina, but he/she is actually quite useful in the desert palace.

And the fact that for a stretch of the story, a lot of Garnet's attacks simply fail because she "can't concentrate."

I found Amarant to be the most useless character. I think I used everyone at some point for something except him (not counting the time the party is separated and you have to play with both sides).

Ooh yeah, forgot about that "cant concentrate" crap >_< All she's good for when she's like that is being a punching bag for monsters.

Amarant...yeah, he's useless most of the time. Although during the fight with Ark he's extremely useful and completely makes up for the inability to use magic.

I'll remember that for my next playthrough. I ended using him in Kuja's palace this time around and whatever weapon he was wearing, he ended up healing the boss. So I just had to keep skipping him.

Yeah, you'll want Amarant for Ark, his throw ability will pwn Ark. Quina is actually quite useful in kuja's palace, so long as he's leveled evenly with the others and has a strong fork.

Freya was completely useless to me...i've heard that some of her abilities are amazing, but i never really needed her since I did just fine with Zidane, Vivi, Steiner, and Eiko.

I use that same party most of the time.

Yeah, I completely screwed up when I had to separate my party. For some reason, I thought I was going to Ipsen's Castle. Luckily, I had the only useful trance that I've ever had when the battle with Ark began. Steiner tranced at the beginning and practically killed him off in 2 rounds.

I think Quina is probably the most useless out of them all. Would the game have been significantly different without him? The only thing he did was (accidentally) lead you into Fossil Roo, if I recall correctly. Oh, and he fought Lich with Zidane. But I think that's it. His abilities and attacks were pretty useless too, and his strength fluctuated a bit too crazily for my liking. At least Amarant had Throw, which made him somewhat useful in battle.
