Azrael stood there as the air passed under his feet, shifting the grass below him. His eyes shown bright underneath his cloak as the fabric began to dance similar to the grass. His body hovered there, motionless, as if he were a statue of some sort. His entire body was in his traditional apparel, making him look demonic with only his bright red eyes shining through the darkness. His arms were crisscrossed across his chest in a fashion as if he were waiting, no, judging. With each passing second, only his cloak blew in front of him.

The grass around him soon turned brown as if it were the plaque. Azrael still remained in his position, unfaltering, with his eyes still fixed in front of him. Upon viewing from his point, one could see a dimensional door there. The black warp gate twisted and shifted, waiting for a break from the randomness movement. The ominous feel that it gave off made it appear that the gate had a will as if it seemed to crave something, or someone to enter/exit it.

Azrael, being the only one in this small secluded area was waiting exactly for what the gate was waiting for; a person or people to enter. His eyes were still fixed and the ground below him started to turn gray. He knew that someone or something would enter sooner or later, for he had summoned people. People that would put up a decent fight.

I'll gladly join. I'll post my template once I figure out how to successfully copy/paste on this forum. >_>

Ctrl+ C...Ctrl + V. It auto does the BB code so you don't have to worry about that.

If no one else joins, I guess it is just you and me.....again.

I'm game but i'm at work now so i'll have to post my bio when i get back home tonight...

I'll join as well. I'll be using Ku (currently re-awaiting approval) if that's not a problem. I have characters that could be used as well but that would require me to find their bios.

That's fine. I speak for both of us. ( Because I'm absolutely positive that Stryfe doesn't mind ). Post your templates when you can, and I guess we'll start soon after. I'll post mine soon.

Agreed. Either put a link to your bios or post them directly on here.

I'll edit my first post for the turn order.

2 vs. 2

w00t.

Please edit your last two posts with your template links and/or templates themselves. I rather have this start sooner than later.

Also, RA, change your font. ^_^. It strains my eyes.

And, like, RA stated, the teams are

RA and Stryfe vs. Drachnon and Firefrenzy.

I forgot, remember the turn-order

1) RA
2) FireFrenzy
3) Drachnon
4) Stryfe

1-2 days to respond each. ;D

Drachnon, you don't HAVE to rush your post. =D

Name : Crane "Red" Fortig'ule" ( For-tih-G^( yool ) ) - Lost Epitaph - The Red Warrior
Age : 127. ( Appears to be 26 or so. )
Gender : Male.
Height : 5'11.9''
Weight : 178.43 ( Without Equiptment. )
Home World : Vinahne
Race : Vinahnian.
Personality : Crane.. is the type that would ignore a child asking for help. Even if he/she was dying. He isn't necessarily the cold hearted type. More neutral, and doesn't interfere with the planet's work. However, he is often challenged by many, and must take their lives to continue on. Such is fate, as he would say. Normally, he is quite still, and very quiet. He often sits down to relax, and enjoy his surroundings.

Appearance :
animeredwarrior1dn7.jpg

Weaponary Equiptment :
Save the Devil : ( Blade shown in picture. ) The sword is truly beautiful, but has the demonic feel, and sense. Just it's energy wilts flowers, yet Crane has managed to keep in the.. neutral, catagory. His blade temptates all, and only the powerful are able to weild it. The blade was crafted by the devil himself, and given to the most worthy of warriors to protect him. Ironically, it was used to kill his son instead.
It's powers and abilities seem to be mastered by Crane, however, he does seem to.. lack the ability to use the blade to it's full potential. Perhaps it could be of some other purpose?
The sword is one of two created by the Devil. Crane looks for the second, in order to protect it from the use of evil, or good.
Key of Abyss : This item is located on Crane's left arm. It holds the power to manipulate certain elements, such as fire and darkness, and also regenerates it's user's body. When Crane is wounded, he is often healed within the hour. The key uses matter from it's environment to recreate what was lost. Such as blood, and even limbs. Another effect from this ancient relic, is prolonging Crane's life span. It seems that he only age's half a year, every one hundred.
The key is intertwined with Crane's arm, and maintained by a very strong connection the Key of Abyss itself creates, with the use of Crane's soul energy. When the connection is cut, or disrupted, the Key of Abyss atempts to create a new one, but is very unstable, and can ultimately lead to a devestating portal, or even a wormhole, being created.
The Key of Abyss acts somewhat as a parasite of sorts. It needs it's host to survive, and without a host, it is completely useless. This is why, it will do whatever it can to keep the host alive; by all means necessary.
It also holds the ability to create small portals, allowing easy transportation for Crane. This ability drains close to nothing of Crane's actual energy, especially when used for short distances. However, if the portals are kept open for too long, they will become unstable, expand, and begin to suck up everything before it.
The key was created for the single purpose of ridding any world of it's darkness. However... this ability can only be used every two hundred years. At the moment, it cannot be used for another one hundred, considering Crane had used it on his own world. After this item is used for it's sole purpose, the user is immediately ripped into a portal, and sent across the Omniverse.
Abilities :
Spirit Energy : Crane uses alot of spirit energy, for multiple purposes. Seomtimes it involves something simple, such as creating a ranged strike. Other times, it's something more powerful.
Soul Energy : It's what maintains his connection with the Key of Abyss. On occasion, he uses Soul Energy to perform certain attacks, as he does Spirit Energy.
Matter Manipulation : This is ability is anything but mastered. The Key of Abyss has the ability to manipulate and control matter, but the use is quite unstable, and new to Crane. Overall, Crane hasn't developed much of a power over this ability, so it shouldn't be considered harmful.
Rejuvination : The Key of Abyss also posesses the ability to rejuvinate and heal Crane. Using matter collected from it's environment, it reconstructs whatever was destroyed to virtually heal wounds. It does this automatically, sensing that it's host has been wounded. It will do anything to save him, however, the Key of Abyss does lack the quickness needed for immmediate recovery. Normally, a small scratch or wound takes a few minutes to heal.
Portals : Portal's are used as a weapon as well as a means of transportation. This ability is often used to strike foes from behind, and flank them. It may also be used as a means of dodging attacks.
Biography : The story of the Epitaph. A horrible one, at that, and one that doesn't end in anything relating to happy. It begins, when Crane was born to a loyal Knight, and his lady, in the world called.. Vinahne ( Vih-Nawn ).
Vinahne was.. well, there was only one word to really describe it; Hell. It's once beautiful landscapes were now red, and crusted over with black rock. Hundreds, and thousands of miles went on, only in red oceans and a dark sky. It truly was, a replica of Hell ( Or what you would imagine Hell to be ). This.. Hell.. was home to three raging kingdoms. These kingdoms fought with one another, in hopes of spreading their idea's of parliament, freedom, or authority. Much like Earth, they fought on their planet to become the most powerful.
Krinahd, the kingdom of the devil's child. Surrounded by an ocean of lava, and black rock landscapes, it was often called Hell. It was also believed that Krinahd's armies were undead, and ruled by the devil's son.
Fariel, the kingdom of virtue. This triumphant kingdom blazed with glory, and good. Their motives were for the right, and for their God. They were blessed with a beautiful grassy landscape extending on for one hundred miles.
Finally, there was Ammicrin, the kingdom of destiny. They fought for a legend, and the possibility of a savior from this wicked world. However.. they were not blessed like the other kingdoms. Here, they were surrounded by a sea of sand, and trapped by the seemingly endless desert. Their armies would perish before reaching it's destination, and all seemed to be.. neutral, in a sense.
These three kingdoms fought on for centuries... centuries of gore and bloodshed. Even the woman were sent to battle! It seemed that Vinahne had overcome negotiation with the art of sword's... and all was to be doomed in the very end of the world's days. The kingdom's fought one another, and tried countless attempts to secure their enemy's fortresses.. But to no prevail! Every attack launched by the three were futile, and all seemed to be dampening even more, leading to the foretold end... Untill.. the prophecy's tale had began.
An ancient legend among the three raging kingdom's spoke of a baby being born with the Vinahne insignia on it's back.. and that baby would save the side it was born under.
This baby had been born. A blonde haired child, born to a loyal Knight of Ammicrin, and his lady. All was going to be well! The kingdom was saved! This baby had the insignia, and surely it could not be a prank? Only a fool would do such a thing.. and a Knight was no fool. So, the baby was brought to the king. He examined him, and came to a salvaging conclusion; The baby was to save Ammicrin, and restore Vinahne.
Once word had spread to Fariel, they began negotiations. Fariel united with Ammicrin, and they were to assault Krinahd when this savior child turn the age of twenty. However.. this plan would be ruined by Krinahd, after getting word from one of their.. spies.
Krinahd organized an attack, and travelled through the desert to Ammicrin. When they arrived, they met with not an outstanding force as the prophecy says.. but a celebrating Kingdom. A dissarmed, and unaware kingdom.. and so.. Krinahd struck. They forced their way into the Kingdom, and killed every newly born they could find, and.. upon coming to the marked child.. they kidnapped him, and flee'd.
With all hope suddenly revoked, it seemed that the days were numbered, and the number wasn't high. Already the days seem to go by slower, and darker, knowing that they would indeed be defeated.
Two years after the kidnapping, the mother and father gave birth to another child. His name, was Crane. He had blazing red hair, and dark blue eye's. His father even trembled with happiness. They had made another child, to take the place of their lost miracle. Could it be, that this child could also be the savior of the kingdom?
Over the years, the child proved himself to be worthy of his father's footsteps as a Knight. He trained with the blade untill he was eighteen, and finally joined as a loyal servant for his king. However, the people hated him for who he was... they hated him for not being the chosen child, and told him of it. He was scowled upon by the upper class swordsmen.. But it would do him no harm. He ignored it all.. and trained. Preparing for his adventure, and destiny.
Reaching the highest rank in the Knights.. he swore forever servitude, and vowed to save his kingdom at all costs. He was ready to fulfill the prophecy, and clash swords with his brother.
Assembling an army, he travelled across the deserts, and the magma ocean, and reached Krinahd kingdom. Without warning, he started the attack. Unfortunately, it was quickly stopped by a small force, and Crane had failed. He was captured, and brought to the King of Krinahd... whom was infact.. the prince of darkness. The devil's child...
Once the prince had learned of his name, he branded him, and declared him apart of his army, and slaves. For five long and treacherous years he served under the Devil. A terrible story to be told.. and so it shall not be said.

Crane was now twenty seven, and surpassed even his brother in the art of swordsmenship. Ranking among the highest in Krinahd, he recieved the weapon "Save the Devil" from his King, and vowed to protect him whatever the cost. However, this would prove to be the greatest lie, in the history of Vinahne.
The time was right for the prince to make his move, and summon an army of demons from Hell.. using Crane's brother as a tool; the said prophecy child. With his power, he was able to open a gate, and release his minions upon the world. Once they had assembled, they began to sweep across the planet at one order from their master, while Crane, had other plans.
Crane had now turned sides once again, and proved his loyalty to Ammicrin, and the rest of Vinahne. He crossed blades with his brother, and obtained an item of great value. It was called, the Key of Abyss. It was said, that this key, held the power to rid the world of all evil and darkness, by restoring it to it's original state. Now, Crane held the two most valuable items on the planet, and he intended to use them.. wisely.
Crane.. challenged the Prince of Darkness. In an epic fight, it came down to the prince of darkness holding his blade to Crane's throat, taunting him as if he were an easy victory. At this.. Crane used the Key of Abyss, and opened a portal to Hell. Every demonic creature, every undead soldier, and the prince of darkness, was sucked into this swirling vortex into Hell. Upon opening it however, the prince of darkness had grabbed hold of Crane, and pulled him into the gate.
Now, the portal was unbalanced. Soon the creatures that had been sent back to Hell, would find it, and return to Vinahne. Crane was left to finish the fight with the prince, and all seemed to be.. hopeless. It was a futile attempt.
No! Crane would not let this happen. He would kill the Prince of Darkness, using the blade he had been given.
After a long fight.. Crane killed the prince. His father felt the heartache.. he felt his life being taken, and appeared to cherish his now lifeless body. In the depths of Hell, the Devil stood mourning over his son, with Crane standing by, smiling at him.
Then, they fought. Before long, the Devil was throwing Crane around like a rag doll.. and now he was going to kill him.. or so he thought. This had been the plan from the beginning. Crane just needed to distract him long enough for the portal to close, and cancel out the imbalance. As it did.. a portal appeared, and ripped Crane from Hell. He appearned unscathed, on an alien world, at the other side of the Omniverse.
All in all... he had saved his kingdom, and his Vinahne. Now, he would start the journey back home.
Over the years, he has learned of the Key's powers, and abilities, such as nearly stopping his aging process. He still carries the blade that the Prince had given him, and now searches for the other. Travelling across the Omniverse, he has met many powerful beings, and fought countless battles, and will continue to do so, untill he finds his way back to Vinahne. His home.

Lets make a new hread for the actual battle and keep this one for OOC questions and dispute settling, that said, i'm of the oppinion that if your bio doesn't SPECIFICALLY SAY you can do something you cant, so no spur of the moment new abilities and attacks.

Ooh and just so you know i'm somewhat of a physics hardliner, meaning that have been known to for example (for a post) figure out the highest mountain in the rockies, what the speed of sound was at that attitude and thus howlong my character had to live and or scheme before the opponent would get to her at the speed of sound...

No, we're using this thread for the RP and the OOC. Any questions/complaints you have will be settled in this thread.

Let the battle commence.

Teams:
RA and Stryfe vs. FF and Drachnon

Turn order:

1) RA
2) FireFrenzy
3) Drachnon
4) Stryfe

1-2 days to respond with your post.

RA, you may open up. I already posted the opening and such in my first post.

A boot protruded through the portal, and soon after, a whole leg. Then, a hand made its way, a purple liquid substance warping around it, but not onto it. It clenched, forging a fist, and released, as if testing the air's density. It did this continuously until, as if it were satisfied, the hand slipped back into the liquid, leg following quickly. It returned soon after, along with its owner;. Repeating the steps before, he made his way through the liquid slowly. Finally, he stood there; all of him.

A smile spread across his face, but didn't reveal his teeth. Meanwhile, two deep blue eyes scanned their surroundings, skipping from each interesting object to the next. A beautiful and vast grass field was before them, swaying with the breeze. Then, the eyes closed, and the man inhaled silently. He basked in the peaceful and serene air for some time, completely stagnant; but aware. He was amply aware.

As one last gust passed by, his eyes opened phlegmatically. They were amiable now, and lax. Though, at second's end, they intensified; specifically, they intensified on one man. Azrael. This man had summoned him here abruptly. Sudden callings weren't among his favorite things. He stared at him lingeringly, before finally, a soft voice-with no sign of annoyance-called out to him.

"Hello, Azrael. I will save myself some time, and answer my own question; you brought me here to fight. Even though I am obligated, I accept your invitation to battle. Though, the combatants best be here soon."

It was discernible that he wished not to wait, but he would, for days if it was requisite. His sluggish actions portrayed it more than anything else. That, and his halcyon appearance. His eyes had developed back into their composed state, and his breaths were silent and elongated. He was uncondonitionally comfortable.

After minutes of being inanimate, he stepped forward gracefully. His boot slid across the grass, producing a swift sound. As he neared Azrael, his hand reached for his sword, Save the Devil. Seemingly facilely, he lifted the blade to his shoulder, resting it there. This man was prepared. This man, was visually deceiving. This man, was the Lost Epitaph - Crane Fortigule.

Nova had been wandering about YET ANOTHER world which had been boring, so far, and while she had been having a hunch this thing might get interesting pretty soon she had as of yet not seen any signs of it. Ofcourse that was before her mobile phone rang...

“Yeah what?” Knowing that since this world didn't HAVE cellphones the list of people who it could be would be very limited...

“Well, i just thought you might like to know that you have a new message” said the voice she identified as belonging to the AI of her ship, “I'll patch it through now”.

A small hologram appeared in mid air in front of her and while she didn't know the face the posture and well tailored suit made it clear he was NWO and that any “suggestions” weren't really suggestions at all.

“Hello Miss Carmine, I have been informed of the position of your vessel by the Void Engineers and i have been tasked with informing you that you have been tasked with removing 2 delusional reality deviants, I'll upload what we have on them to your ship and we have arranged for a known associate of yours to supply back up.” and with that the hologram vanished.

“Well I'd better get to work”, her ship got her the location of the meeting point between the 2 RD's and she quickly made her way there.

It was late by the time she arrived where she wanted to be a tall mountain spire overlooking the valley where the 2 RD's were meeting, one of them was on the floor stepping out of some kind of black hole in the sky, a teleport spell of sorts Nova assumed, the other was hanging in the sky suspended on some kind of energy force. Nova's sensors quickly identified the source of the floating as some kind of magical power, the ring on his left hand seemed to have something to do with it although without more measurements she couldn't be sure what exactly.

Not wasting any time she found that since there were no humans in the area she didn't think paradox would be a problem as these two didn't seem like the type to “disbelieve the illusion” a few seconds later she found her c-20a cannister rifle's case in front of her. It took her 35 seconds to assemble it from its components parts, she was out of shape normally she did it in 32, flicking her shot selector to HE ammo she decided to just jump right in, taking aim for the bloke in the air and letting of a shot aimed at his center of mass, she didn't expect it to work but she had seen worse and besides, he seemed to be talking at the moment, she had gotten the drop on people who's file made them seem more scary then this bloke. Before the round had even gotten to her target she had another round in the air aimed for his head and another for the dude in the ragged cloak, she was kinda sad to be shooting an article of clothing of such make, the print on it seemed to be pretty neet...

OOC: why bother with the whole talking thing?:P And i'd appreciate a more detailed description of what that matter manipulation power does, for example, Range? Does it require concentration to use? Energy drain? Just how the hell DOES it work? Do you rearrange the nuclei of atoms (i am majoring in chemistry and i'd like to know what i am up against)or do you mess with molecular bonds? Expected damage? Does the damage decrease over distance? How does distance effect difficulty or energy expendature? Limits of the power with or without the ring??? Thanks in advance...

Drachnon appears to have left. Or, at least, not posted.

FireFrenzy, you can find a substitute or you can try and get a hold of Drachnon. Either one, you'd be fighting solo if you get no one.

OOC: Patience young one

Ku walked through the dusty streets of an abandoned city. The building were in decay and Ku couldn’t see a living soul in sight. Ku did not know why or how this city that seemed like it had once been crowded with people become like this nor did he care.<o:p></o:p>
He was here as a traveller, his destination was only known to the gods, Ku already had given up on finding food in this desolate place and was feeling kind of hungry.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
From inside a voice spoke:<o:p></o:p>
“You should be more alert, even places like this can have it’s daemons.”<o:p></o:p>
Ku would rather ignore the voice inside of him but that was rather hard considering they were technically one being.<o:p></o:p>
Ku spoke out loud since no one would overhear they conversation anyway:<o:p></o:p>
“If there was something powerful enough to even hurt me I would have noticed it a long time ago. Besides why are we here anyways?”<o:p></o:p>
Ios’ voice suddenly pounded into Ku’s mind like someone was screaming right next to his ear:<o:p></o:p>
“Do not question the gods and their ways! They are not for you to know!”<o:p></o:p>
Ku felt dizzy just from hearing the avatars voice, after regaining his posture he replied:<o:p></o:p>
“I know, I know. But if Io says this is where I must be then I’ll accept it.”<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
Suddenly Ku felt something in the air, it was someone or rather something was calling. It didn’t come from this town, nor from this world. Ku couldn’t pinpoint the origin of the call but somehow he felt like he knew what it was. Even without words being spoken Ku knew what was told.<o:p></o:p>
“A challenge?” Ku spoke and then corrected himself “No, more like an invitation.”<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
“Indeed” Ios spoke from within “It’s a form of telepathy reaching out to powerful beings. Those who accept will be taken to whomever has issued the challenge. Needless to say no ordinary man did this.”<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
“So what do we do? Sounds troublesome to me.” Ku said while scratching the back of his head.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
“It’s no coincidence this invitation reached us. This is part of our duty, accept the invitation Io surely has a reason for his demise.”<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
Ku smirked, whoever did this made a big mistake. Though he didn’t consider himself the strongest being alive, after all he himself wasn’t even worth comparing to some of the powers in this universe, Ku did know very well he was well beyond the capabilities that relied on such abilities to seek out strong opponents.<o:p></o:p>
Ku opened a world gate using the residue of the invitation to lead him to his target.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
An instant later Ku stepped outside of a doorway of some sort. He immediately realised he was not alone. Two people were with him, one floating mid air, the other carrying a sword stood in front of him. Ku seemed to have interrupted their conversation of some sort but they would have to learn wasn’t the one who would chat with people he found uninteresting.<o:p></o:p>
Ku wanted to open his mouth and ask who called him here but 3 bullets heading for the two strangers seemed to make introductions inappropriate, for now at least.<o:p></o:p>
