PS3 or Xbox 360?

i say ps3 but im a sony lover and im OBSESSED with final fantasy i mean DoC wasnt the best game ever but it was good and ppl said it was bad but ps3 cuz i want to play ff7 remake and ff13 will be out on it -hopefully ps2 as well-
but my vote is ;ps3 and the only game i wanted xbox360 for was oblivion which got put on the ps3 so ive no reason for it until halo3

(FF 13 isnt going to be on PS3)
I prefer PS3 probaly becasue the game linout set for it (including FF), but then again im a fan of sony Ive had a PS1, PS2 and intend to get a PS3 soon!!

I hear nothing but bad things about the PS3. Personally, I don't think it's worth the money, especiall since their aren't many games out for these new systems anyway...
I'm looking foreward to getting the 360 so I can play gears of war. =]

There is no option here sadly for me...

360 OWNS PS3 out of nowhere.

PS has MGS and FF going for it, X box has the KoTR series-amazing, Halo-Orgasmic, Gears of War-orgasmic, Morrowind type stuff...LIVE...yeah, I'll stop.

...is because since they're backwards compatible (for the most part), it might be nice to be able to play your old games...

Actually, because they're bastards owned by the devil, Sony is removing the backwards compatibility from their PS3 systems. It's already been implemented in Europe, and pretty soon, the PS3 here in America and all over the world will not be backwards compatible. :( Just so you don't find your PS2 games in the dust bin, they will be reintroducing backwards compatibility as a software for the system rather than a hardware.

If I were you, I'd jump and buy a PS3 now. The ones still on shelves (especially in FL for some strange reason...) are all backwards compatible. As such, you would be golden! It's not like Sony can come into your house in the middle of the night and replace your old PS3 with a limited newer version. Although, I read somewhere that they might introduce a patch which would restrict your PS3 hardware so that you would need to purchase the software... But Sony's not that evil... are they?

As far as the XBoX360 goes, wait a little while, they're coming out pretty soon with a limited edition one, It will aptly be titled,
Xbox 360 Elite. The specs follow:
  • The Elite will be limited quantities only; that may be as much or as little as a couple hundred thousand.
  • The case, controller, and Live headset will all be black. It will have all new packaging.
  • Elite will cost $479, and will be a 3rd SKU; it will be sold alongside Premium and Core packs.
  • Eventually Elite hardware (in white plastics) will take the role of the Xbox Premium. That is to say, after the Elite is launched and sold out, future Xbox Premiums will have 120GB / HDMI.
  • We do not yet know exactly when 120GB / HDMI will become the standard for Premium, but it is loosely estimated to be late summer or fall.
  • Elite models run cooler than normal 360s, but they are not yet confirmed to have 65nm chips.
  • Prices may remain the same with the 120GB / HDMI hardware upgrade in the Premium Xbox, but we may still see a price cut on the line when 65nm chips start shipping.
  • The HD DVD drive will not be internal or bundled -- Microsoft never did or nor does not currently have plans to put an HD DVD drive in the 360.
  • There are no current plans to integrate WiFi into the Elite or future Premiums (although that can always change).
  • This is the only chance you'll have to buy the Black XBoX360...

It's better than the rest.

I own the PS3 and I'm happy with it. However, because I'm greedy and have money to burn like that (not really, I'm in debt from school loans :( ) I will purchase the limited edition XBoX360 as well.

Warm regards,

But Bioware, who makes the KotoR series, do have plans to make a PS3 game.

Same with Bethesda who made the Elder Scrolls games. Hell, Oblivion is out or will be on the PS3 any day now.

And Live...yea, if you dont mind paying for it.

The only thing 360 has that I want is Halo. And I can live with that. I'll just go to my friends house and play it.

KoTR is just kotor...Bioware only made the first game anyways...albeit it was frigging way better and bioware owns, KoTR is just amazing.

And Halo Wars is coming out along with Halo 3...

Just to end this all I will give you your answer PS3 all the way why do I say that just let me tell you the diffrence of a 360 and a PS3.

Okay well lets begin shall we.

Lets see the PS3 cost $600 US dollars and the 360 cost what like $300 or 400 us dollars just think about this is the PS3 really a rip off or is it just the 360.Look at this $600 dollars sure it might sound expensive but it really isn't a blu-ray player alone costs about 900-1000 dollars and now include all the features it has like the cell processor and the free online play and many other things. Now the 360 sure its cheap in price but look closely there HD-DVD drive is about $180 dollars and then include all your stuff you will need like your xbox live that you have to pay for isn't it almost the same as getting a PS3 except PS3 is tru HD with its superior video and sound quality.Okay now you hear that there is a new 360 called "Xbox 360 elite" when all it really has is a bigger hard drive and now a HDMI port which really won't matter for the old 360 games maybe it will make a diffrence for there new games they come out with. Now hard drive PS3 has a 60gig hard drive and the 360 elite will have a 120gig hard drive yet what some people don't know is all you have to do is just a SATA hard drive and just insert it into the PS3 but the 360 hard drive microsoft sells them to you and it really isn't that fun right guys. Now the controllers the the PS3 and 360 both have wireless controllers but the 360 one is kinda bigger we can all agree with that but the Sixaxis controller is more advanced then the 360 one come one the 360 remote doesn't even have motion sensor pretty sure they have a rumble still LMAO.But the PS3 and the Wii are both ahead in technology with there motion sensor action.

Thats all I have to say about that let me just summerize everything i just said into 4 simple words "Don't buy a 360" its a huge rip off unlike the sony PS3 which are losing money for all of you they really should make it highter.

Thats it i am done hit me up on MSN meikyousisui123@hotmail.com.

Thank you all for reading this I hope

Special Thanks to Sony for making the best system in the world.

And no I am not a damn PS3 fanboy I just think 360 is just a huge rip off.

I'm kind of in limbo, I've played the Xbox 360 and think it's great so I can't really compare the ps3 to it. The problem is, I've only heard bad things about the ps2, like how it can't really play previous playstation games, no rumble pack in the wireless controllers and obviously the massive pricetag!
I may be wrong, and chances are that I probably am because I haven't tested one myself; am I completeley wrong?

I think you were referring to PS3 btw.
But most of the points you brought up about PS3 are being fixed or are rumored to be fixed very soon.
The PS3 can play PS2 games. It'll be 100% compatible with PS2 games if you have a first generation Japan or US PS3. Europe and most likely future PS3's everywhere will only be semi-compatible, but they already support more old games than the 360 does (I think).
No rumble. Yea, at the moment. But many developers have hinted at the fact that they're games will probably have rumble in them. So at the moment, yea, no rumble in PS3 controllers. On the other hand, if you really want rumble now, they came out with a USB adapter that can take old PS2 controllers after you get the new PS3 firmware update. Plus, PS3 has motion control. 360 does not (yet).
And yea, the massive pricetag. But really, there is not much of a difference when you put the 360 Elite plus all the add-ons up against a PS3.

1. The blue ray player in the ps3 is not as good as a normal blue ray player so i've heard.
2. The online play is really poor on the ps3 anyway. You get what you pay for ^_^
3. Microsoft gives you the choice if you want to buy a HD drive unlike sony who say buy it all or don't buy anything. Sony are making you buy their blu ray if you want their console....so nice of them
4. PS3 copied wii with the motion sensor the wii does a better jod at it, why do people want a copy?
5. You can get a wii and a 360 for the price of ps3! Why get somthing that trys to be both and fails when you can just have the better things separate for the same price.
6. The 360 remote is bigger so what the ps3 is bigger than the 360 no one cares about size. Thats what handhelds are for.
7. Sony will sell you a ps3 even if only 7 out of the 8 cores are working. If one is already broke when you buy it whats to say another one is not faulty i hope your warranty's still covering you when the rest die.
