This is a last resort for me as I'd say I'm usually pretty good at figuring these things out for myself, however, I can't seem to be able to defeat Twilight Odin [Vile Peaks 200AF]!!
It's really stumped me as I thought I'd leveled up enough to be able to take it on
(as it stands I have Serah and Noel at: )

Serah: 4000+ HP
COM: 99
RAV: 99
SAB: 86
MED: 99

Noel: 7000+ HP

COM: 99
SEN: 99
MED: 87
SYN: 99

so it doesn't make sense to me how I haven't yet managed to defeat it with such a high level team??? I don't seem to be able to make a scratch on it before it uses Zantetsuken and completely wipes me out! Any strategies and advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm determined to finish this game at the very latest of early next year!! thanks! : )

What type of monsters are you using? If you're struggling to get the stagger bar reached, you may consider using a RAV, RAV, COM setup. If Odin is applying too much damage pressure, then you may considering using a monster that fills the Sentinel role nicely (e.g. Bunkerbeast from Yaschas Massif 100 AF). Serah's ultimate move should be available while in RAV, but you'll do a lot more damage with it if you immediately switch to COM while casting it. Noel's move should be used before the stagger chain goes away since his skill will remove whatever build up there is. Most imporantly, make sure you have your characters buffed and Odin debuffed. That will make a good amount of difference in your damage for the fight.

I've been using monsters with RAV and COM attributes which is probably why I haven't got very far! I was relying almost fully on Noel's sentinel ability however it was taking too long for Serah and the monsters to attack Odin therefore the stagger bar wasn't filling past half point! I have some pretty good SEN role monsters but I never bothered leveling them, I guess I have a lot of monster leveling to do now before I go back and have another go at Odin!
As for the ultimate move with Serah I never thought about switching to maximize damage, that's a really neat trick thanks a lot!! Thanks for the advice I guess I'll go and act on it now : )
