I see one of the thread titles here is a spoiler! 'so i just beat god' geeeeez, ok, so i knew it was likely to come to that, but ffs, come on

Anyway, i didnt make a thread JUST to moan. I'm afew days in and i need some good schematica ideas, im lazy and i somehow cocked up and managed to delete half my shit...well synthesise it which removed it from my weapons...so like....little help here please ):

Also, im gunna run out of days becuase ive spent a lot of time running round in circles. I am assuming i will have to restart. will this reset everything i bought/missions i have done, making me start a whole new game or will it be kind and let me keep everything?

Please keep spoilers to a minimum if you can :)

I'm here to help Bambi! :D

I was never really great with schemata's, but I can maybe give you a few tips, that I believe will help you out in the long run.

Tip 1: Try using a aliment schema, which will focus on debuffing and debilitate the enemy you are fighting. Sometimes, in my experience anyway, standard attacking doesn't always cut it. Doing this will increase your strength and damage done, and reduce their damage done to you. You are limited to four slots for the schema, and there's so many different aliments you can use. What worked for me was: deprotect, deshell, imperil, and slow. If you'd like, you could replace one slot to add a defense guard ability... making it a little bit tanky. or tankier. :wacky:

Tip 2: Try using magic-damage schema. Use your highest magic that you have. This schema will require all four of your slots, so beware. Also note that you should have at least 4 DIFFERENT types of elements.. not necessarily on the same schema, but for future references. What worked best for me was that I chose an elemental garb, and placed one slot with said elemental garb ( water, for example--I chose the best water ability I have) and then with the other 3 slots, I chose elemental damages that complement water...[different magics though]

Tip 3:Try using a physical damage schema. This schema will require for you to have a high ATK stat. (Magic is irrelevant) I'd recommend having at least 2 standard attacks. One being single target damage, and the other a multiple enemy damage. I'd say using the 3rd slot for a physical elemental damage... which can really help take down enemies. The last slot can be used for guarding OR. an ability that will interrupt an enemy.

Hope I helped :monster:

By the way, I never had to restart... did you do side missions to gain more time?

Heres a few tips that I looked up, on how to manage your time on LR.

  • Dashing: Dashing depletes the blue gauge at the bottom of your screen, limiting the amount of time you can spend at this sprinting pace. Release the button at any time and the gauge will quickly refill. As a rule, you should get used to dashing almost constantly, but with regular short pauses to allow the gauge to replenish whenever it is almost empty. The refill time is extended and the sprint ability temporarily locked if you fail to take this step, which also has the side effect of preventing Lightning from using her weapon.
  • Optimizing journeys: Another key factor to save time is to minimize the amount of travelling you perform. There are simple rules you can follow to optimize your trips in any given region. Rather than running straight to a distant place to retrieve an item for a quest you just accepted, take the time to talk to all NPCs in your vicinity and agree to complete any assignment they give you during a journey. There is no limit to the number of quests you can have active at any one time, so it always makes sense to accept them immediately. You should also check the Canvas of Prayers whenever you pass it, and factor in exploration and shopping trips where possible. As a general rule, you should always aim to multitask at all times, “clearing” an area of current objectives (where feasible) before you move on to another.
  • Stay busy: Whatever the circumstances, you should always remain active and avoid any downtime. If you are done with all optional activities in a location and have a few hours to spare before you can complete the next objective (for example, because an access gate is currently closed, or an NPC has yet to emerge), simply travel to another region and start fulfilling assignments there. Every minute of your time should be used to achieve something.
  • Influence of the time of day: The entire game world is governed by the clock. The time of day can determine the availability of quest items, the presence of key NPCs, access to particular areas, and even the distribution of monsters. Knowing when you’re supposed to visit an area (for example, by reading the quest descriptions carefully to take in such details) is hugely valuable information – enabling you to plan your travels accordingly. Naturally, our coverage of quests within this guide includes detailed information on all such considerations.
  • Feature unlocks: Many features in the game are unlocked on a very specific day in the storyline. You will also obtain items and abilities on each visit to the Ark. This guide reveals the precise unlock progression for day-related unlocks, so you need never worry about missing anything.
  • Chronostasis: This EP ability freezes the game clock for 75 seconds of real-time, corresponding to 30 in-game minutes. Therefore, if you can regain 2 EP every in-game hour, you will theoretically be able to chain Chronostasis infinitely.

i managed my time poorly my first run, i got pretty much to the end of all the main stories in each area, but never finished them because i was too busy arsing around. also i spent way too much time trying to get that final niblet to appear, which never did happen, read that i need 120 of them. ughhh

I hope this counts from game start as well as (this run) i did the death arena thingy and got 30 of the suckers, so i must be close now.

I still have a fair few side missions to do, and annoyingly I have made it up to the chaos temple that the chocobo took me to and got to the corridor before caius, but i had no items and no CP to stop time, so i am now on day 7, which I think now means Caius plus? Oh yay.

I'm still not having the best of time with my schema, but I think it is now more to do with laziness than anything, think I need to dedicate my time to sorting them out whilst I am on the Ark.

Cheers for the help (y)
