Wanted: Marilith Reward?

Marilith is missing, vanished into thin air! Reward will go to anyone who sees her.
This happened in my game, I had the Marilith hunt available, and so, as a good hunter that I am, I accepted it. And then I've reach Invitation to Heresy in the Zertinan Caverns and started looking for her, and then it came out, in the time I was too weak to fight her, so I got out of there. Times later, i went there again to fight Adrammelech, and thought of fighting Marilith, the thing is that it didn't appear anymore, and so, every day I go there trying to find her, I also checked in GameFaqs how does she appear and I was doing it right. As this, or something like this, happened to anyone here?
 
Wait, so you accepted teh hunt from the Mark board...but did you talk to the Petitioner as well? Many times that middle-man step is forgotten accidently.
 
to get marilith to appear, you have to stay near the entrance (go in through shimmering horizons in dalmasca westersand) and stand there for about 5 minutes. You have to wait otherwise the mark won't show up - hope that helps :)
 
Also, aren't you suppose to turn off the Gambits for your 3 main party members at this time?
 
no it came out when id killed everything in the room and waited near the window , where the two speartongues were. it came out after a minuet.

yeah - as long as you're in the area for five minutes it should appear. killing everything in the area should take some of the time - if not just wait and it'll appear. it's a basilisk so won't appear on the radar until it pops out of the ground.
 
I think his problem is that he thinks that he can't find Marilith because he saw before and now he can't fight it anymore. I have no idea on how to help, kind of a weird situation.
 
I tried once more. Checked the petioner, he said something about me having defeated Marilith, and I thought "I did?", but then it said something like: "No... keep trying".
The I went to the Zertinan Caverns and thought of this: "I was with low levels when I fought it last time, and I defeated many monsters (from the entrance to the place where she appears)." So... I defeated all the monsters in Envitation to Heresy, then went to the place, till now nothing, the I killed every monster again, went there and there she was.

It aint about the mosters you kill, it's about the time you spend in the area.
That requirement is also rue for some of the rare game, and one of them even requires you be in an area for a certain length of time without killing anything - so if you can't find something, don't assume going on a killing spree will bring them out.
 
Yeah but killing the monster in the area prevents any unexpected twists in the battle and getting out ,if your weak would be a pain in the ass. When Hunting marks preperation is the key.
