So what piano solo score should I add to my collection next? some Monster Hunter? or maybe more Final Fantasy?
It's your turn to decide.

Currently in my collection.

Super Mario Series Super Best (Intermediate) Alfreds Music Publishing.
The Legend of Zelda Series Super Best (Intermediate) Alfred Music Publishing.
Final Fantasy IV Piano Solo Sheet DS ver.
Final Fantasy Super Best Piano Solo Score 2010

So any suggestion would be appreciated. Any videogame music goes from beginner to intermediate difficulty level. Does not even have to be videogame music. most important this is that its beginner or intermediate difficulty level.

I have bought my books from squaresound.com and otaku.com.

And lastly Damn its good to be back FF fans. My military service is finally over!!!
Final Fantasy Forum is changed a lot.

You might want to take a look at the Final Fantasy Piano Collections. These are specially selected pieces that are more intricately arranged (and often more beautiful) than the usual ost arrangements. There is one for IV-XIII each. For FFI-III, IV-VI, they are combined and named as 'piano opera'. There are some amazing arrangements in there. These are some of my current favourites from the various albums, and I have learnt how to play some of them:

I think you can purchase most of their score books from squaresound, playasia and amazon.jp.

This is not FF, but I am currently in love with Howl's Moving Castle theme played by xxwhispers. Learning it right now too.

Anyway, if you are looking for newer products that have just been released/announced, here are some of them: FFXIII Piano Collections, FFI/II/III Piano Opera, FFIV/V/VI Piano Opera and FFXII Piano Collections.
I have bought the first three online, and gonna buy the last one too :).

In general, the difficult of piano collections/opera is intermediate to expert, I guess? I am not an expert player, but I like challenge, personally.

Good luck and happy learning/playing =)

I Just bought FFX-2 piano collection. Thank you for your replies.

Martel I have quick question for you. Are you a sight reader or memorizer? I am memorizer myself.
and its hard to learn long pieces for example "Battle" from FFIV piano collection.
Sight reading is very helpful for long pieces.

Thank you again for your replies.

My current learning method is, sight read, and then subconsciously memorise certain parts. Of course it will be slow sight reading at first (with pauses and mistakes), but it gets faster. Once I have 'learnt' to play the song smoothly, about 50% will be sight reading, and the rest will be memorised hand movements. If it is a longer song, I will tend to rely more on sight reading too. And most of the time, if I keep playing the learnt song for a long time, I will rely less and less on sight reading, as the hand movements are etched in my mind through repeated playing.

Though it works differently for different people, depending on your piano learning background, personal preferences, etc.

I have tried to practice sight reading but its hard because i always have to look what I play :S.
I just have to practice harder.

I had that trouble too in the past, and in fact, I think that I am now still struggling with fast sight reading. Practice makes perfect =)
Good luck!
