Zodiac Spear

nope you can get another one but its hard to get
anyway isnt there another thread like this?
 
i don't think that's a good enough incentive to play through a 50 hour game again.
 
i dont think so, i think it's kinda like a secret weapon you could only find if your lucky or if you followed a strategy guide
 
No I'm guessing that the reason it's there is because it gives the gamer a challenge to the game. What the hell would be the point if they gave you the most powerful weapons so easily that it makes everything no fun or challenge? The Zodiac Spear locations and quests make it so that you can put in a valiant and challenging effort to receive (arguably) the best weapon in the game.

THe Zodiac Spear reminded me of FF10s Ultimate weapons. You had to find the crests and sigils, and you had to put them on the right weapon. I screwed up on my old FF10 file because of this, but I wrote down what I had to do/couldn't do to get the Spear on FF12.
 
Heh, if you think the Zodiac Spear is bad...just wait until you find out about the Wyrm Hero Blade...heh heh heh. Now there's an overrated useless weapon you get when all you have left to fight is Rare Creatures I guess.
 
I should turn this into a rant about it, but yeah the Wyrm Hero Blade is only obtained after you beat Omega, Yiazmat, and every other hardass fiend in the game unless of course you hadn't gotten all of the Espers already and can battle them afterwards.

It's such an awesome weapon that even the Ancient Man of Mystery wants his hands on it, however, you get it at a point in the game when all you can really use it on is a bouquet of daiies. Gayness.

The Zodiac Spear however is not useless by any means since you can obtain it as you venture through the Nechronal of Nabrudis. You can obtain it before a lot of the tougher parts of the game later on and in turn make the game a heackuva lot easier.

the zodiac spear is powerful but its not as fast as like masamune
