What happened to Zidane in that scene where that legendary song starts to play?

I know that this is stupid but...

was Zidane going nuts?

was he alone?

Garland told him all about his true origin...and his true destiny =(

he did not acceped it...and then

what is your opinion, what would YOU do in same situation?

I just ask...:'(

It's like dropping a ton of bricks on someone man. Zidane wasn't expecting to get all that information about his past and his destiny all at once. He saw that everything that was happening in Gaia and on Terra, that involved him, was for a reason. It wasn't by chance that he was included in this battle, but he was picked specifically because he was the only one who could stop the current root of evil.

Hey, a man can go through his time of solitude to get junk straight in his mind, so that's what Zidane's entitled to during this scene.

well at this point zidane was pretty much at the breaking point, and i'm not sure how i would have reacted. all i know is at that point in his life, nothing was quite what it seemed and everything had just taken a drastic change. he had a lot of pressure, and i guess he handles pressure by trying to seal himself off from the ones he cares about.

one thing's for sure, and thats that he definitely wasn't alone.. he had garnet, vivi, steiner, and crew to help him everytstep along the way and they made sure he knew that.

PS: this was one of my favorite scenes in all of final fantasy ^_^

I agree. I think Zidane had alot of info pushed on him all at once. To me it was like the whole game he was searching for his past and where he belongs. But once it was put to him it was like he had the weight of the world shoved all on him. In a way I think he was relieved to finally know his purpose for life. But at the same time was thinking "I don't want this". So just imagine growing up not knowing where your from, and then to find out only you can stop the destruction of your world. Man.. talk about pressure.

Even though he felt alone he was not. His friends where there more than he knew till the end.

I think i would've reacted like Zidane. Either that or i would have broken down and cried myself unconscious.

I'm sure he didn't expect his origins to be anything what Garland told him, and as others here have mentioned, it came too much and too fast, so he just kind of lost it.

Zidane finally knows his past but he isnt happy with the facts and never ever realised that this could be his destiny, to "destroy" Gaia.

My favorite part of the whole game that was ^^.

And yep the music was great but so was all music on Terra and actually all IX music.

Yeah, Zidane really had no idea of who he actually was, only to find out later on he's a
Gnome
originally created by
Garland to replace Kuja
as a new and more powerful
angel of death
. Definitely a lot of to take in and accept.

In short,
Zidane meets his maker…

No, I don’t think his was going nuts, just serious shock and self doubt in accepting who he really was, in my opinion.

Would I do the same in his situation? Probably…
