I still live with my mum and sadly this isnt my PC, its my mums and cant hook it up with my 360. Although my brother went and purchased a massive lead that connects his 360 to my mums PC downstairs.

Now Im not doing that as I hate lots of cables, so Ive bben told to get the Wireless adapter for £60. Id need it when I move into my grandparents home as I wont be hooking up my 360 to my own PC. As I said, not a fan of cables.

So its it worth it and will it defo work with my 360? I purchased it in Jan this year. Im asking as I purchased a 360 fan and it wouldnt work and the guy at the shop said it wouldnt if my 360 was one of the new re-released consoles. But he said the adapter would work.

My uncle have tested, and confirmed

that if you get a cheap ass USB wireless thingie that normally goes in a PC.

You can just jam that in, and it works
I'm not sure on which brands work, of not all.
but it worked for him, so he saved like 70% of the money.

As stated, im not sure how this works, if there are only a few brands. Or if he was lucky.

but to directly answer.
YES, the official one SHOULD work wit h ALL 360's

you MIGHT have to hook it up by cord initially, to get software updates.
this might be so for the fan thingie, if that uses an USB connection.

this is what I can do for you. hopefully some one backs me up, or proves me wrong,
eighter way, you will get info from it ^^

No, the fan didnt need a USB. It just clicked on the back and would work when you switched on the 360. But mine didnt, hence it didnt work.

But Im refusing to buy an USB cable as Im no where near the PC here or at my new home. Thats why I want this as its wireless.

If you buy the microsoft brand wireless network adapter, it'll definitely work..assuming you've got a wireless router.
